I got two bags, they were on sale for less then $2 a bag! One came air right and dense, the other lose but not leaking. They create quite a bit of irritating dust, but I’m sure it could be mitigated by pouring from a lower distance. When mixed with substrate the blue doesn’t pop so much and my crabs dig it

As always, Zoo Med has aimed to please and have succeeded. And the fact that the blue sand was a better price was even more fun! Fun to switch things up like that.

I LOVED the look of the sand and I thought I had read all the reviews before purchasing it for my hermit crab. But, I discovered the information AFTER it was too late and my hermit crab was dead. The one review that was buried warned that when you sprayed the sand with a squirt bottle, the sand becomes hard as rock and if your hermit crab’s face is wet, it will suffocate your hermit crab. We had our hermit crab for 9 months and lost it to it choking on the sand.

OK sand is sand, but this supplier has really high quality stuff and it always arrives on the earlier end of the time range and in good condition
