I was skeptical of getting better sound from my Audio-Technica turntable simply from a new mat. I'm not sure why I would need 6 of these, but ordered the set and played the same track - once without the mat, and once with it installed. There was certainly an immediate and noticeable difference in the sound - improvement in tone, richness, and bass throughout the track. I am extremely pleased with this upgrade to my turntable setup!

It makes the sound quality better but this mat makes my records dirtier, I placed it on my turntable and I placed the record which I had just cleaned, I play the first side and then I flip over the 2nd side and it’s covered in I don’t know what cork dust or whatever that is, I clean that side again then I play the 2nd side. I take the record off and the 1st side is dirty again.

Ive been a dj for 20+ years. When Im gigging I always use slipmats, and years ago I lost the heavy matts that came with my 1200's. These take me back, sonic-ly. Grounding the records you can feel the better bass response. Love the look too.
