Works just like it says! Retention is not perfect, but does the job. As someone who was constantly changing bits and losing the ones I would set down, this is super convenient! I purchased two based on the number of bits I cycle through providing the ability to customize my loadout based on the job I’m conducting. Keeps them all together, organized, and minimizing changout time

So it does well at holding the bits, I've used it daily and haven't had any fall out or feel loose. The problem is the screw lock on the carabiner can unscrew or over screw itself by walking and working. When the lock is over screwed it is now stuck in a tilted position making it very difficult to start the treads correctly and doing all this while its stuck on a belt loop is not a great user experience.

The bottom of my tool bag was loaded with these style bits and it was never easy to scrounge around in there when I was looking for a specific one, I would end up having to take out everything else first, then grab a handful of these 1/4" bits and sort through them to find what I wanted. Then recently I happened to be browsing Amazon and this cool little device popped up in the recommendations. Well I didn't hesitate to try this product out and as you can see from the picture, it worked just great. I chose to use it with the nut-driver style bits I have because it seems like those are always the most elusive, but when I was done I knew I should buy at least one more, and I will be. Suffice it to say, this is really handy and it is a good idea for a gift as I don't know many guys that would even imagine that these exist until they see one. So, get those stockings stuffed before some other kind soul in your family beats you to it. A+
