I bought this 8 camera system and self installed it. It is hard wired PoE. It works well and was easy to configure. The home app is very good and does as it describes and is all I needed to keep watch on my house.Customer support was very helpful in helping to configure the app for how I wanted it to be used. After a few months a camera did go bad, and when I contacted customer support they were helpful in trouble shooting the problem and when they determined it was a bad camera they sent a replacement very quickly at no charge.I would highly recommend the Zosi cameras! A great product, better price and 5 star customer service.UPDATE TO MY LAST REVIEWAnother camera went pink on me but the Zosi Customer service was 5 STARS as they helped facilitate another replacement camera. They were very helpful in trying to trouble shoot and when the camera was still not working properly my agent sent a replacement right out to me. I will also comment on the new updated app is much more user friendly and very good. Overall the system is solid and for the price you get a good PoE hardwired NVR system with plenty of storage.I would recommend and I would buy again.

After 2 hours of fiddling with the set.I like the system but I got into a few problems.The quality of the cameras feels good. Good aluminum body.Quality of the image is good (daylight) unable to check at night yet system is not installedAfter first boot up the system works flawlessly after a few min the RGB when south (check pic) HDMI color goodThe DVR unit is good but the space to install the HDD is small and I have problems installing it (see pics) the power cord for the HDD is too short. I have to install in different orientation de HDD the holes in the case don't match the HDD case so is hold just by 1 screw i can put more but I have to make holes in the case.One of the wires came defective I have to wiggle to make good connection is not at the metallic connector is at the rubber part that fail .Software is good a lot of settings I'm a handy guy technically inclined but the software is too much for my brain for now to handle. Few things I can't make it work (my fault) I didn't have the time to connect to the internet yet.The RC is not good I have to point straight to the box otherwise will not work and the distance maybe 3-5 feet not more.Another thing catch my attention after 30 min of operation the CPU gets hot 122-123 Fahrenheit degrees (with the box open) I don't know how long is going to last the unit before conk out.The aluminum cooler is too small needs a bigger better one the unit is fan less (sorry for the fuzzy pic)I will update this review as I go deeper into the system keep in touch!!Ok after 2 days of use unable to get this thing to get connected to the internet for remote view.Is a royal pain to make it work MANUAL IS POOR AS IS BEST thanks you tube!!!Another thing one of the cameras is getting a fuzzy pic 3 cams work fine but one already is giving trouble (yes I check the wire)Went down one star From 3 to 2) due to more setup complications. Ok first things firstI didn't installed the cameras right away it took at least to setup them about 8 months after I bought them (sorry I'm a lazy fat nurse)The box is working flawlessly software wise is ok is a learning curve I'm a nurse not a camera guy is a lot of settings I'm still having a low understanding about them but is my fault (I deserve a 1 star for my poor performance).Cameras they are sturdy and look good 2 already fail I forgot to take a pic from the first one but this one fail 2 days ago see the picI paid at that time $165.99 now the price for the same set is $ 90.99If you get them to work good I think is a good investment they are ok for the price but if the fail like in my case is a bad investment I don't expect stellar performance for price but I wish they work longer.

I had 2 systems of another brand before and they both dies after some years of use.I was able to re-use Ethernet cables (4-wire)Image quality is good.Cameras are wider angle than my previous one, which is Ok since the resolution is also higher, so I can get same level of details.Image transmission is reliable even over the included 100ft cable and even over my 100ft hand-made cable (intermittent video drop was a big problem with my previous system)Night vision is good, though IR LED only highlight the center of a wide-angle image.Software interface is intuitive enough - I like it.Now, problems. Mount design is good for developing your 3D imagination, but if you are new to robotics it might take you a while to figure out how to mount the camera. There are 3 degrees of freedom but stacking order is not intuition-friendly. It is Ok, you will get used to it by the time you mount your 8th camera.Another problem is: one of 8 cameras was blurry. I took a closer look and found severe moisture condensation. That camera was mounted in a garage and the weather was dry since the package arrived, so all that moisture is likely came from China. That is also not a big problem. I opened the camera (it is easy - just 3 small screws) and let it dry and now it works well.Update: Power supply is not providing enough power. Only 7 cameras can work reliably at a time - signal from one or two cameras disappears at random. Replacing it with 48v 3A power supply resolves the issue.Update: Even with larger power supply, it still does not provide enough power for 8 cameras. Even 7 work unreliable. But the issue is easy to solve - buy a quality POE switch and connect cameras through it. The box supports it - just connect non-camera ethernet socket with the switch with ethernet cable.Another camera malfunctioned - it stopped emitting IR at night, so night time image become black. Amazon sales replacement cameras. Unfortunately, they are rather expensive.

I absolutely love this system. It’s easy to work easy to playback videos. Don’t like that. It did not come with a hard drive, but it was extremely easy to add an hard drive.

Easy to install and high-resolution video quality. I used a Zosi NVR with this camera and I don't know if it is compatible with other systems. The camera can be adjusted to many angles. Additionally, since Florida experiences a lot of rainfall our connections were made inside a media junction box. I have purchased several of these cameras.

great all round system. price point was a little off putting at first, but bit the bullet and took the plunge. Using eight cameras as a home CCTV system. domed shaped camera housing blends quite nicely with the exterior of my home.PROS - easy to install and set up, system menu easy to follow, DVR is discreet and wouldn't look out of place under your TV next to your TV cable /sat boxesCONS - care and attention is required when positioning cameras. Held in place by small rubber grommets which are easily dislodged. If displaced after the camera has been installed, the camera itself becomes 'floppy' and you'll need to hold it place with tape (yuk) or gunning some silicon sealant.I had 3 cameras go 'floppy' on me and were replaced quickly, efficiently and free by Zosi. Very impressive customer service.The app which allows you to connect remotely to your system can be a little awkward. I consider myself to be extremely technologically proficient, however, I still required assistance with setting up the app on my iPhone.Would highly recommend this unit for personal and small business usage.The fact that you need to purchase your own hard drive is a bonus too, as you are able to select a memory size to suit your needs and price bracket rather than pay over the odds for a drive you can pick up for considerably less. I went with a 1Tb Western Digital drive for approx C$70.00 from amazon.caedit (have put this unit up to 5 stars.) ;having owned this system for a few weeks I can honestly say that it is performing beyond expectations. Zosi customer service is second to none, and what price for peace of mind when away from home. Night operation and clarity is crystal clear, reviewing video feeds from my iPhone is very easy, as is accessing the recorded video. take your time to learn the full functionality of the DVR system and you will not be disappointed.

At first I was a little skeptical because of the low price.The system does exactly what I was hoping it would do. Cameras are rock solid with great video recording day or night .And for the cheap price it doesn't get any better. This can easily be a DIY project no experience needed to install. ZOSI have the best customer service, they were right there when I needed help with setup. They usually respond in about 4 hrs not days. AndThey will patiently walk you through any issues you have.I love it

For the price it is a good system. The shipping was fairly quick and installation was straight forward, with decent quality camera's. Instructions however were lacking in detail and hard to understand. The user interface takes alot of playing with to get used to and figure out. It does NOT come with a pre-installed harddrive. I used an old satta i had lying around. But 400Gigs gets used up real quick. I will purchase a 1TB at the very least in the future. Can work using an internal or external harddrive. For a fair priced home surveillance system i do recomend, however, you will need to take the time and review some youtube video's during setup.
