I got this 8 camera surveillance system to add 4 cams inside and 4 cams outside the house and this system is pretty darn easy to setup. It doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles, for example the cameras are not PTZ, they stick up in place and stay still which is perfect for my use.The kit comes with everything I needed to get everything running and works pretty good. The night view isn't great but not horrible either. For the price its really very good.TIP:If you have trouble getting the NVR onto your network, try replacing the ethernet cable a couple times. Third time was the charm for me. No idea why it wouldn't work with the others, they were good. -1 point for picky ethernet.I will update this review if anything changes within 1 year. A 5-star rating indicates the product meets my expectations for its purpose.

Great Value! Hooked them all up, No problems at all. Nightvision works well, good quality! DVR playback is a little different than most, but not bad. Getting it connected to the internet for streaming on mobile devices proved a bit tricky, but after a few youtube videos, got it to work! Great package for the money! I will update if I have a problem, but so far, 2 weeks into it, GREAT!Be prepared to buy extension cables if you have a large area you are covering. You can get them pretty darn cheap!

The image looks very good during the day but at night if there is no lighting the image is of quite poor quality.

This security system has really improved my sense of security at home. I wanted a system with clear video and reliable recording but not so many fancy features I would never use. I mounted the cameras around my property to look over my driveway and into my backyard. The resolution is clear enough to view any person who may approach my house. I can easily make out a face if I have to.AI human and vehicle detection works well. I get notifications on my phone where motion detection sends motion alerts to my phone, which really minimizes false alarms from things like trees blowing in the wind. Night vision is solid. Helps in situations where there might be visibility issues at night, for example, if it's overcast or the light level is low. I have found it more than adequate for monitoring and observing my property. The 1TB hard is a bit small especially if you are recording 24/7, but you can always upgrade that.

I only needed to set up 4 of these for the moment, but man they look great! As usual the bulk of the work was mostly in setting them up and positioning them around our area. The actual connection and setting up of the system is a breeze. I love the auto detection as well as the picture - it is super clear. I also love that the video is stored on a physical drive (where I also have the choice to replicate into the cloud). For the price, you get what you pay for. I have had cheap cameras in the past, and this set was a big reason to replace them! They came quickly and in great shape!
