Whoever invented this, I want to meet them! For those of you still using sand in your pool filter, throw it out. Sand is heavy and a real pain to change out, clean and replace. These filter balled are easily drained, washed and reused time and time again. They are efficient and effective. Affordable isn’t the best part! I’ll never use sand again in my pool filter after discovering this product! Comes with a machine washable bag that is easy to use!

Was very surprised at the large amount of pool balls you get in the bag. These are washable and reusable. Overall, the quality of the balls for an above ground pool is great.

These worked fantastic. So much better than sand. We are never going back to sand! These are so lightweight and makes moving the filter so much easier. We never needed to backwash all summer. With the sand we were backwashing every 10 days and wasting a lot of water. I just finished running them through the washing machine and they are ready to go for next year. They cleaned up wonderfully.

It seemed like a good idea but after thinking about it the results I got are really just what I should have expected. They work great to start, but backwashing just doesn't get them clean. Opening the filter, removing them, washing them in the washing machine gets them clean as new and the work great again till they don't. Way, way, way more work. I got these to make it less work not more. This is an honest review. I wish they were great but lesson learned.

I read some mixed reviews on this but for the price I decided to give it a try. I have a 250 lb sand filter and had a pretty extreme algae problem prompting me to use hundreds of dollars worth of chemicals. Nothing seemed to work. After some research I decided that my filter sand needed to be replaced. After replacing the sand with these my pool has been clear and easier (and cheaper) to maintain.

Keeps my pool clean and clear. One thing I have to say is that they really are not reusable year to year. Best bet is to replace them each season, but even still, they keep my pool sparkling better than sand did.

I switched our pool to these 2 years ago. I love that I can easily take them out and run them through the wash! I can actually move the sand filter myself when it's time to open and close.Make sure you get enough to FILL the filter fully. I believe we have about 4 sets in our filter. Unless the filter is packed full, they really do not work well. When the filter is filled? They are fantastic.The only other thing is that they need to be washed a few times a year. Backwashing doesn't work well. After opening and getting the pool clear I pull them out and wash. Then again in July sometime. Pull out when closing and wash.

These items work in our sand filter, very well. It absorbs what it is meant to absorb and gives us clear water.
