Had trouble with my stove top expresso maker not fitting on the grates. So I wondered if Amazon had something that would fit the grate to accommodate the pot. And of course it did. I've had them now in two homes with two very different gas stove tops and they fit great on both of them. The espresso maker sits comfortably on the cast iron adapter without wobbling and the heat gets evenly dispursed. No problems with them and they clean up easily if they get splattered. I keep them on the two back burners all the time.

My range top is spaced too wildly for small pots to be steady. These cured that problem.

I bought these mainly for Bialetti stovetop espresso. Works great and would recommend for any brand coffeemaker. My stove is city gas; can't speak for other power sources.The item appears to be finished cast iron. I don't think it's galvanized. I don't know what the finish is and hope it doesn't flake. It may rust, but I really like it so that would be a minor concern.Heat distribution is excellent for the medium burners. The trivet raises the pot by about 3/4" if it's put flat side down because there are 1/4" nubs on the bottom. This is good as it provides a way to control heat.Getting 2/$10 is a good deal.I tried this with a thick soup in a very big bottomed pot, and the soup did not burn. Wow!New purchase, but I'm very happy as compared with typical rustable, thin steel trivets with folding handles. Cheaper and better. Wider would be an improvement.

This works great to hold up a stovetop espresso maker. Very stable fit over my stove grate. The only caveat is that it’s thinner than it looks in the picture, maybe 3/16†thick so I don’t know if it would hold up for a long cooking time. The espresso takes 5 minutes so I haven’t used it for any longer than that.
