This thing is a poorly constructed piece of junk. I think I got one that was returned. It will cost more gas in this thing worth to take it back. Don’t order it.

The one I received had been opened. I have used it one time and it had stopped counting at one time so not sure exactly how much line I got on the reel, I would of purchased a better unit if I had known how this unit worked.

Originally ordered similar from another seller. Will be waiting for at least another month for delivery (from china). So, I ordered this one and it was delivered in less than 2 weeks. Works well on a wide range of rod diameters. With my heavy roller trolling rods I have found that mounting the counter at least 1 guide above the double roller stripper guide made spooling easier. Can place it as far out as the tip guide or even mount it to something between the rod and filler spool although I would advise clamping the rod in position to maintain alignment. Use a little resistance on the filler spool to maintain tension. For spooling super braid use at least 2 turns on the counter pulley wheel to avoid slippage.
