Contrary to a couple other reviewers, these are strong high-quality masonry nails, but you have to use them right."Length hardened" means that the metal is forged to maximize the strength along the length of the nail so it can penetrate the masonry. Notice that this approach is a different than other (bigger, thicker, more-expensive) nails that have ridges running down the shaft to resist bending. With these length-hardened nails, you have to strike the head very true to not put side force into the nail. If you do, yes, it will break (not bend). When that happens (like it did for me once), pull out the point with pliers, get a new nail, and try it again.Tip: With a nail this size it helps to hold it with needle-nose pliers so you can (1) clearly see the orientation of the nail and (2) structurally support it. Then, use a tack hammer, which will deliver a more-precise blow.

Maybe I was using these incorrectly but 50% of these things bent while I was using them on mortar between bricks, which is super soft.I used a few on my sub floor and they worked just fine so I'm not too sure if it was me or the tool, but they didn't really work for me. I bet that they'd work for you and would be worth a try

i am not sure what to say about these other than the fact they work. i use them to hang portraits. they are a bit small so be careful with the hammer!

Not great. Trying to use to nail into stucco, and they snap right in half after only 3 swings of the hammer. Guess I’ll use for other materials, I can’t imagine how they’re used in brick like the description says. Disappointing.

I am using these nails to attach trim to a large project and I am loving the look! While these nails are consistent in quality, they are visibly inconsistent. That is to say that the nail heads are not perfectly round and have a handmade look to them (see review photo) that adds to the rustic look of my project. If you like the sound of that, I think that these would be the perfect nails for your project, as well.

Ordered more than I needed but they won’t go to waste. I procured these to hang sun catchers and stained glass art to my window trim.
