I installed the product using a fuse tap under my dash. And my Cobra radar detector works flawlessly. Just remember to turn your radar off and on manually if you pick a constant power fuse. I should probably find out which of my fuses turn on only when in the accessory mode of the car. Which would keep it off when the car if off, and on when the car is on and running.

I have one in my truck never had any issues I got one for my brother's truck to put a radar detector in his truck as well built in fuse is a plus

I had an older cobra radar detector and decided I wanted to start using it again. It is such a pain to continually plug in and unplug. I came across instructions on how to hard wire it using this and a fuse tap. Really easy to do (Youtube it). Now, when I start my truck, the radar detector automatically turns on. Likewise, when I shut off the truck and open the door to exit, the radar detector automatically turns off (I wired it inline with the power windows).

This works perfectly. I was able to route the cable down to the fuse box hiding the wire along the way. I used MuHize micro2 mini 12v add-a-circuit to connect to an existing fuse. Highly recommend both products.

Two under two minutes to wire it to the rearview mirror wires, hide behind insulation and connect my my cobra radar detector. Super happy. Totally worth it. Thank you
