About this item

  • HIGHLY EFFECTIVE HEAT REFLECTION: Made from Mylar foil material, the blanket reflects up to 90% of body heat, effectively retaining warmth and preventing hypothermia in cold environments.
  • LIGHTWEIGHT AND COMPACT: This set includes 10 packs of ultra-light and compact emergency thermal survival blankets, each measuring 84” x 52” when unfolded and 4.7” x 2.8” when folded. Easy to carry, they fit perfectly into emergency kits, backpacks, or survival gear, taking up minimal space and adding negligible weight.
  • VERSATILE USE: It is not only useful for retaining warmth in cold conditions but also reflects solar radiation in hot environments, preventing overheating and providing shade. This makes it suitable for both cold and warm survival situations.
  • DURABLE AND WATERPROOF: The material is typically water-resistant, providing protection against wind and rain. It can be used to create emergency shelters or cover the body, helping to retain warmth and protect from the elements.
  • WIDELY USED IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS: This survival blanket is commonly used in outdoor activities (such as hiking, camping, mountaineering), disaster rescue operations, military training, and first aid kits. It is considered an essential survival tool in many emergency scenarios.

I've never been in a situation where I needed an emergency blanket, but I have used them on camping trips just to see if they work. They do, and these work just as well. I feel there is good value in this item so you can spread them about in your vehicle, packs, anywhere you could need them. Staying warm is always about maintaining heat rather than losing that and this material is super light and super-efficient for its weight. It works practically and by scientific measure. Lots of uses too. Packaged well and also packaged really fort single use unless you cram it back into your gear for another trip or save them in another container. All in all the value is there, and it wouldn't hurt to nab this if you travel or are part of a group that spends time outdoors.

I go hiking and camping quite often and am usually prepared for whatever weather conditions may ensue. But, on the off chance that a weather system comes in that I wasn’t prepared for, these emergency blankets are a great stand in for what would otherwise be a good heating system in my tent. So, a few of them were put in my backpack and the rest went into the toolbox of my truck because you never know when you’ll need them.

These Phafaloop Emergency Mylar Blankets are a must have in your vehicles, backpacks and EDC. I don't know if there is much difference between brands but you need a large enough blanket to be useful and I find these are just that. I needed to open one to review it and while it held up well and is reusable, I'm never going to be able to get it refolded the way it came. This Mylar blanket definitely reflects body heat and I also anticipate its usefulness if I ever need to seal windows or doors to prevent heat loss. In a home loss of heat event, one can be layered between blankets for extra warmth. Actually, its uses are limitless.

These are just what you would expect, Mylar emergency foil blankets. If you have no experience with these they are pretty much just shiny plastic blankets. They are very shiny and if its sunny they can be very easy to spot from a distance. If it is not sunny the blanket just reflects the surrounding background and can be quite hard to see. They do a really good job of blocking the wind and keeping in warm air if you get them wrapped tightly. They do reflect IR heat and make great liners to bush shelters. As far as being "warm" there are a lot of mixed opinions and experiences with these being effective in rescue operations. I think that they are good for very short periods of time to help keep the patient dry, great for ground barriers between the patient and snow and a stand in until the real equipment gets there.20 years of backcountry rescue here and I carry at lest two of these in each of my kits for patients. These are very cheap and disposable so they are great for giving to patients while we are waiting on the rest of the equipment and I don't care if I get them back or if they get bloody. But I do not rely on them for hypothermia treatment they are just a small tool in a big bag.

Every year at Christmas I give utilitarian and very practical items as a sort of stocking stuffer gift (at the time of My choosing these, the cost was one dollar per blanket). This year it is the emergency thermal blankets. SMILES__That may seem to be a silly gift but I think its a great idea because a number of these could easily fit into a glove box of the dash of a vehicle, or added to another container to keep in the car. JUST IN CASE! Ya' never know when you might (heaven forbid) have car trouble or worse still, be in an accident. These mylar blankets are incredible for maintaining warmth and protecting from the chill of winter wind if needed__There are two families I gifted this set of ten to, with one family of six and the other family of four. Perfect! I just feel better hoping the mylar blankets will likely never be used, but as I said earlier in this review: JUST IN CASE.__BOTTOM LINE: Absolutely recommend these to everyone

Nothing special or different about these. Except the price. That's why I was excited to find these. I used to be able to find space blankets all over for 99 cents. But they are getting more expensive. This is perfect to grab now while it's only 10$USD for the pack. Throw a couple in the car. The tackle box. Your backpack. Your purse, your med kit. Wherever. I also wanted to add... ive tried the heavy duty space blankets. And I honestly see no big advantage over these.Yea they got grommets. But they rip. With this. Stuff some leaves in each corner and tie around the bulge. Now this can be a shelter also. Of course your lucky if you get a night or two out of it. But the heavy duty blanket gromets tear out just as fast anyway. these are meant to be disposable. So yea For 10 bucks. Grab it. Stock up. Always good to have.

Great value for a ten pack of emergency blankets. Enough to have in your car, pack, and home for situations such as during winter and power outages occur. Highly recommend!

This is a solid value. I've been making emergency bags for family members, and this is one of the items I have put in each bag. It doesn't have to be super sturdy or last forever. It just needs to be portable and able to confine body heat. This checks the boxes I needed to check, and it does it at a great price. Great for get home bags, backpacking packs, camping, or people who live in really cold climates to keep in their vehicles. Recommend.
