I wanted to use these to collect urine samples for my small dog, who currently has a UTI. Collecting is okay, but the lids do not fit firmly. I wasn't expecting anything waterproof, but there's no grip at all - you need to hold the dish level or else the contents will spill out the sides.

My kiddo is a self proclaimed science nerd and was wanting to try some easy projects using petri dishes. These are great and work very well! Easy to open and close the lids while also staying secure when on. Good product overall!

My method is to pour agar, stack, wrap, and PC. These plates are absolutely not reusable as they claim. May be “polypropylene†but NOT the PP5 required to sterilize.

Pressure sterilize your agar first, then pour it in the petri dish and seal it. Works like a charm always. Work in a flowhood or still air box after that. Definitely better than condiments bowls.
