Screws had pulled out of the lower hinge on our metal storm door (a typical screen door but that we just keep the glass in instead of a screen). Used these and, a month in so far, they continue to work like a charm. Note, I didn't buy the setting tool they recommend for holding onto the anchor b/c I wasn't sure it would fit in the tight workspace area, so we used a grip plier instead. However, it took two people: one to use the grip plier to keep the anchor from turning, and the other to screw it in. It took a bit of tries to hold onto the anchors firmly with the plier, but it ultimately worked.

I have been forever looking for a good way to permanently secure hooks to these modern hollow core interior doors. These things work perfectly.I just drilled a 5/16 hole, set the anchor, and held it by the outside rim with a small pair of pliers while I used a screwdriver to tighten it up. One fully secured, it is a solid as a rock.I ordered another set just to have in my hardware inventory.Perfect!

If you need more than one of these, you MUST get the setting tool.Without it it's really difficult to compress them. They will spin. With the tool they work quite nicely. And the tool can also be used for other molly bolts.

I was looking for something that would hold in the thin metal of a screen door that has the weight of storm windows also. Screws would not hold in the metal alone.I've been complimented on how smoothly my door swings now that the hinges are firmly attached.

I got these so that I could hang a towel rod on the back of a hollow core door. I had to use another review to help me install, but they do the job and the towel rod is secure.

So...I drill a hole for it. I insert the anchor. It was a bit touch to get it over the little hump in the middle. I figured that the drill diameter was perfect But once I tried to set it by turning the screw, the flange would spin freely. Could not turn the screw.

The instructions clearly say that you need to use a puller to flatten the collar against the back side of the wall. Lots of people on here are complaining that it just spins when they try to screw it in.....well duh! If you don't have the puller tool you can hold the collar with a pair of vice grips while you turn the screw and it will seat just fine.

I was not happy with the hollow door studs. Maybe it was user error but tried multiple of them and could not get them to expand
