Yes this works great. I got them for a one time speaker install job and I am happy the wall fasteners worked. This tool is good for occasional use. Yes, it is good quality and I would buy this specific one again if I lost it. I can't say if it would last for a professional everyday user. But I don't really see why it wouldn't either.

I finally gave in and got this for installing eight short anchors for a hollow core door. I had tried to install them without this tool and failed badly. All the anchors, plus a full length wall anchor installed easily with this.Worth the price to maintain my sanity.

Worked for my job, although it isn't quite sized right for M4 screws. It fits them loose and it's easy for the head to slip out. If you aren't careful the inside pull plate will bend if it slips off the screw. Overall I'm happy.

It worked great for what I needed, which was to repair a thread-broken hole in a hollow closet door. I drilled the hole large enough for the screw and fixture (I forget the real name, maybe wall anchor), put them in, used the tool to collapse the fixture part inside the door and Wa-La I had a new threaded screw fixture to fasten into. Problem solved.

Defective Design. Item broke after one use. The small screws on the side are too short. The screws are designed to hold the bright metal forward piece on the tool. The screws, being to short, will not grab the threads in the tool and hold this (bright metal) piece on the tool. Every time you try to use this tool, the screws pop off (unable to tighten) and the forward metal piece comes off, making the tool unusable.AVOID THIS TOOL.

It took a short time to figure out this tool completely (there were NO instructions included, it was one of those "for the average intelligent student, the solution is obvious" situations). Or actually not the tool, but how to get it on the hollow wall expansion anchor after you have inserted the anchor into the wall. After working with the tool and a non-inserted anchor and realized that you have to back out the anchor's machine screw (bolt) a little bit so the front (nose) bracket of the tool can fit completely behind the head of the machine screw. Once you have that distance set, pull the non-coated blade trigger in front of the plastic coated movable handle to reset the tool to "zero", place the front (nose) bracket under the head of the machine screw and pull on the front (movable) coated handle. When you can't pull on the front handle anymore, the anchor should be completely collapsed against the backside of the wall. Unless the minimum thickness wall the anchor you used could handle was larger than the actual thickness of the wall you used it on. 5/8 inch sheetrock is not necessarily 5/8 inch thick any more, it may be a little less. But a 3/16" L Hollow Wall Expansion Anchor has a Grip Range of 5/8" - 1-1/4". I used two of these with this tool but they were a little loose after using the tool. I had checked the drywall thickness with a tool I have after drilling the hole to put the anchor in and it indicated it was 5/8 inch thick. Now this is a home-made device, it is not a micrometer device measuring to the 0.001 Inch. But still, it was no where close to 1/2" thick drywall. So I think the drywall in my house may have been specified as 5/8" for the walls, it is actually a little less than 5/8" so a hollow wall anchor with a minimum thickness of 5/8" would not have tightened up well against the wall. But this is not the fault of the tool. The tool did what it was supposed to do and it is not it's fault if there were issues with the hollow wall anchor or the sheetrock itself.

I purchased the wall screw/anchors and then found that a tool was needed to properly install them. After seeing the proper tool and how to use in on YouTube I ordered this because it was a great bargin and looked sturdy. This is a tool that any professional would be happy with.It took a few trys for me friend and I to get it right, but once we did it worked perfectly. This allows for a more secure attachment of the anchor behind the sheetrock. It is perfect for the Do It Yourselfer as well as the professional.

No hay mucho que mencionar, es de buen material, sencillo pero muy resistente. Me ayudó a instalar taquetes para ladrillo hueco sin problemas.Recomendado.

I bought this because I needed to refit a wooden coat rack to a plasterboard wall in my daughter’s house. It had been fitted with plastic plugs which had come right out of the wall. I decided to use metal plasterboard anchors for the refit but wanted to avoid the problem of the anchors turning in the plasterboard as they are being tightened. This setting tool worked a treat and saved me a lot of time and hassle. It is very easy to use and seems very robust and well made. I think it is also good value for money and have no hesitation in recommending this tool.

Fantastic bit of kit.Just put a large new TV on the wall with a bracket and this made it simple and most of all.....piece of mind! It's solid and going nowhere.Recommend very highly for a great wee tool for your tool-kit.

Good build quality overall, except one of the pins is missing an end to it which means it has a tendency to slide out if angled sideways. Otherwise, great value and strong grip.
