Oh my gosh, where has this product been, and how come I'm just finding out about it now??? Nails hammered in the drywall are only good for the lightest of items hung on them. Wall toggles need huge holes, standard drywall anchors are easy to pull out. The self-drilling screw-type have been my go-to favorite for a while now because they hold so well. But all of them tend to make a mess when you're drilling the hole for the anchor. These metal wall anchors simply hammer in until seated, and spread open when you put the screw in. WAY faster to install, and practically no mess!

I have an old house and the walls are lath board plastered walls and the plaster is very brittle. The lath boards are not really good for supporting screws on their own and I can't install traditional drywall anchors. Just drilling the hole into the lath board plaster for drywall anchors (and I tried them all) just made the ancient brittle plaster fall apart. The plaster is so old and brittle it can't really hold any weight even if I can get a traditional drywall anchor in there.I went online looking for wall anchor solutions ideal or lath board - I can't be the only person with this problem and I came across this anchor system. No one mentioned it for lath board but I took a guess it might be ideal for lath board installs. I still don't know what it's officially called - but these work brilliantly for lath board plaster walls. You first nail the anchor in. You need to nail the blade horizontally so it goes in-between the lath boards. Then when you screw in the nail the wings of the blade open up and get secured with the top and bottom of the lath boards. Do not nail the anchor with the blade vertically because it will not go in if you hit a lath board. I was able to mount a trophy cabinet and a coat rack nice and secure. If someone can tell me what these are officially called as a product I would appreciate it. I highly recommend people who live in plaster lath board walled houses buy these.

I had trouble with the anchors stripping out when trying to screw into wall. I have used other anchors similar to these that were white and have had good luck. I love them. I wanted some black ones for some black fixtures and thought I would try these. I had to go through several before getting them all the way in without stripping. Not sure if they will stay in the wall. They didn’t feel secure. We will see. Won’t be ordering any more.

This is the 2nd set of the gold screws and anchors I have purchased, first was on Temu as they were cheaper & wasn't sure if they would work. But they do. I use them as I have a corners were cut cheaply built house = very cheap drywall that crumbles easily. Thankfully these are the only ones that will not fall out after putting them in. Never going back to plastic again. Only 2 issues I have with them is if hammering the hook in definately do it straight as they easily bend if you accidentally hit them at an angle. Then finally this sellers ad. I'm one to add to cart without pulling up the full sales ad if I know what it is, learning the hard way to not do this anymore. All you can see is 200 PCs when searching on Amazon, not the 100 + 100 part listed at the end of the description. Sneaky but definitely smart selling, yeah! you got me! 😂

They work well, they're holding up shelves. I prefer this screw in type of anchor to the typical tube, hammer in ones
