If you are not interested in using paraffin wicks for your candles I highly recommend this. My candles are a mix of coconut oil and beeswax and these worked great but in a small 4oz amber glass jar. Anything bigger than that and it would tunnel. The smoke is an issue sometimes but wicking helps.

Love hefty feel and thick coating but when the black smoke started rising it was kinda scary. Trimmed it barely over melted wax and it burned for several hours until it mushroomed and sent more black smoke out. I used 2 in a 3.5†glass jar and 3 in a 4.5†glass jar and the melt pool was barely happening to the edge after several hours. I had to help it along by pulling some soft wax away from the corner. It was 1/4 beeswax and 3/4 soy. No fragrance or color. I think a smaller gauge wick and adding another to each candle would have probably worked better but one is 5.5 pounds and they will have to do now because I’m not transplanting wicks. They would be perfect if not for the black smoke. So I’ll have to keep them trimmed way down. Surprised that with such a thick wick the melt pool was so tiny?I say try them out but do lots of testing before selling. I’m in a freshly painted room and will not be happy if this smoke smudges up my walls. Consider that…

Most candles don't burn all the way, so I got this so I could combine some candles and burn them until the wax is gone. This is perfect for the job, no complaints.

Bought these because my homemade tallow candle wicks were burning out after about an hour. These wicks ate thicker, made with natural materials, and after added a bit of beeswax to my 2nd attempt, worked perfectly!

These wicks burn great and do not smoke that much when putting out. I use soy wax.

I was having trouble with a variety of wicks from various companies and sources, in my candle making. Seemed they all were not thick enough or strong enough to actually allow my candles to burn nice and clean for long periods. These wicks were great, they burn clean and my container candles now burn perfect for hours on end as I intended them to do. Would highly recommend these for any home crafters for stress free candle making.

These weeks are nice and thick and easy to work with. They're coated in beeswax which is a plus when working with other waxes because beeswax melts at a much higher temperature so the wick can stay firm as you place it in your jar of melted wax or when pouring wax around it. I'm experimenting with pure beeswax and know that it is ideal to use square braided cotton wicks for that. I wanted to see if I could use these wicks anyway and they seem to burn to about an inch diameter consistently in pure beeswax. They don't seem to take up (wick) the melted wax as quickly as it should because beeswax is a thicker/ higher viscosity. This can result in a very small ember of a flame. If the wax was thinner it would climb up the burning wick and create a larger flame. These would be fine for beeswax tea lights and small pillar candles less than 2 in diameter. The diameter of the melt pool would be larger in waxes with lower melt points.I'm still impressed with these, as I can still burn a small beeswax candle with them when they are not a square braid wick.

It is the first time making candles and I bought these for my beeswax candles. From what I can see, they don’t give off any smoke or anything IF you trim the wick to barely 1/4â€. It’s the perfect wick I need for my candles. Won’t need to buy anymore for a bit because they are just for me but I would buy again if I run out.

These wicks seemed a bit expensive compared to others but worked well for butter candles. I made two types: chilli and garlic. Initially, the wick burned fairly slow but after about 20 mins burned evenly. If you’re making butter candles, try to place the wick as centred as possible for an even burn.
