This heater was very cheaply made and only lasted about 5 uses before melting and falling apart. I am an engineer and I think the root cause of the issue is that the plastic "handle" is made from a plastic with an inappropriately low melting point that is not thermally insulated enough from the heating element. Heat from the heating element quickly melted the plastic and then the whole unit became dangerously loose. The first symptom was the mounting clip became loose. Eventually the heating element fell out. See pics. I would love my money back, but I guess I waited too long before I used it and now that doesn't seem to be an option. With the proper materials and design, this could have been a good product. It definitely heated well.

Works great and very efficient. Will heat my 2 gallons of shower water from 80 to 110 deg F in 8 1/2 minutes consuming 141wHrs.

this thing sucks. I put it in my bathtub which is not a very big bathtub and it only heats sections of the water and I have water barrels about a 60 gallon barrel and it would only heat the top section of the water

It works well, considering being a smaller size. Heats up the water fast. Kinda flimsy but just tighten the screws and it's good to go. Not bad for the price. So pretty satisfied..

i reccomend spending a little more on somthing nicer. i wish i had got the one that can be fully emerged into water. this one if not fully submereged gets red hot and starts to melt itself

I'm sitting in 25 degree weather at night with all the windows and fans blowing in my house because this caught on fire.I don't know if I just got a defective unit or what but that was terrifying and now I'm cold.Got to teach my kids how to use a fire extinguisher..Now I'll have to clean up all this extinguisher mess. After the smoke clears... With my windows open and it's 25 degrees outside...
