This was a great buy. I was able to boil seafood in the separate bags.

This is a 2 pack of 50 bag bundles, for 100 total. The mesh expands dramatically to hold bulky produce items or groups of produce, like onions, garlic, sweet potatoes, apples, squash, turnips, and various root crops. The bottoms are sealed by melting the mesh together, so if your produce will be especially heavy in a given bag, like a large melon, then it may be a good idea to add a knot, hog ring or tie to reinforce that closure--but it's plenty sturdy for lighter items like onions. Then you tie the other end closed and hang it from the ceiling of your basement or root cellar, or set them on wire racks/shelves or hanging frames. The mesh lets the air in the root cellar maintain the humidity balance, so that pockets of stagnant moisture do not encourage rot. Hanging on metal rods also helps keep rodents from accessing the crops. Definitely superior to cardboard boxes on wooden shelves!!!Plenty of bags for a typical garden, so you can store a year's supply of onions, garlic and potatoes for a small family with one order of these mesh bags. If you have a larger garden or a larger family, order more. The bags are technically reusable, so long as you're storing your crops in a cool, dark space and use a looped string to secure them closed and hang them, rather than tying a knot in the mesh bag and then cutting it. I'd expect to get at least two seasons from them, and maybe three, if you want to be particularly economical. Most people will probably treat them as disposable, and for the price ($10 for 100 bags = a dime per bag), they're a good deal even with just one use. Happy to have these for my food garden.

We keep our onions and potatoes in a storage room in our garage, and I always had them in bins on the floor, but they were in the way constantly. So these bags have really helped. They stretch quite a bit, and then you can just hang them on hooks to get them out of the way. Plus the veggies can breathe. I doubt I'll ever get through 100 bags in my lifetime, but I like the idea of taking a couple to a farmer's market to carry my produce. As far as I can tell, they are sturdy and don't look like they will rip.

These are exactly what I was looking for. I have multiple uses for them, from holding garlic and shallots, to using them to hold filter media for my aquarium. They are pretty large and have good stretch so they can hold large onions as well. 100 pieces is way more than I need my that’s a good problem.

I usually save these mesh bags from grocery shopping and I place them around my potted plants that are prone to getting attacked by slugs and snails. Copper mesh eventually stretches out, copper tape does not work, and soapy water eventually washes off with the rain. These mesh bags are long enough that once the potted plant starts fruiting, I can also extend the length upwards to help guard the fruit (ie. peppers) from the birds as well, but still allow the plant space to grow and get enough sunlight. Over time, the mesh bags break down, but I don't buy enough of the type of produce in these types of bags to keep replacing them. So being able to find a pack of these online was super helpful. The bags are rather large and seem pretty sturdy. They are melted down at one end (so that it's a bag that's closed off on one end. To use them for my plants, I just cut off the end.

This past year, I just finally discovered that Plumeria plants have giant seed pods. And the seeds can be grown into plants. It just takes a long time for them to open up on their own. I was recommended to place the mesh bags on them so that the seeds don't fly away when they open up. After receiving this bag that has 100 of them, I immediately went around my neighborhood asking if I can tie their seed pods to protect their seeds. I'm happy to say that many agreed to do so. The material is nice and sturdy and was easy to wrap around the pods. I'll also be using the mesh to place my lemons from my tree and give away as gifts.

This is fantastic for growing vertically in the garden. Every year I grow summer squash and cantaloupe on trellises and arched walkways in my garden once they start getting bigger than my two fists together I worry about them being too heavy and pulling themselves off the vine so I like to just slip them into one of these then tie the open end onto the trellis. The bags are so stretchy that the produce can grow completely unimpeded until harvest time and but because of the additional support I no longer have to worry about it falling down and rotting or coming off the vine prematurely.
