When I got around to opening and using one of these pins it was immediately obvious it had been spray painted*!~ There is no way to use these for clothing the paint makes it impossible to even begin to go through the fabric. BEWARE

Just a plastic box - should be easy to open. NOT. 1st of all, it wasn't clear to me which side was supposed to open, so I spent several minutes stupidly trying to open the hinged side. Then, on to the next side, where I spent an additional several minutes until I saw the transparent tape on either end. Re the pins themselves, they appear nicely made, durable and sharp, and the size I wanted.
