I got this for my 45 lb. blue heeler, who hates leashes and tie outs. She'll just sit there and have several feet of tie out that she never used because she wouldn't get more than 5 feet from me. She did like this tie out, though. She's now going further and further away from me on it. I'm so glad she now has an area to play in when she can't be off a leash. The handle to screw the tie out into the ground is cushioned so it doesn't hurt your hand. The cable is covered in rubber (I think that's what it is), so no worries about having exposed chain.

Finally, a setup that doesn't feel like it gives the poor dog whiplash when he reaches the end.The stake and cable wrap are great, but the real star of the show is the coiled portion at the end of the lead is the real winner - gives some recoil and cushion when the dog runs out of lead.The cable might be a big heavy for a smaller dog, but it's not a big problem.

I bought this to use for my 2 year old great Pyrenees. It holds up to her pretty well even when she is on a full run after a squirrel. I would get again just probably try to get a longer cord.

It is very easy to screw the stake into the ground. The stake is long enough so that it is very secure and won't pull out. I have not tried it in sand, but suspect it might even be effective in such a soft ground as sand. Great for any environment where a leash requirement is in place.

I have Kangal dogs, so I need a very strong cable. This cable is thick and strong. It also comes with a handy holder for when the cable is not in use. It comes with a stake, which I have not used since I do not need the stake. Overall, I'm pleased with how strong this cable is. I'll update later if this cable fails in any way.

This has been a great way to have an anchor point for my two little dogs while hanging out in the front yard. We've been using it as a training aid to practice recall. It's held up to some really good pulls by two dogs that are 15 pounds. It goes into the ground really easy as well.

I find this cable is very strong. We have a shepherd that is about 110 pounds and he can sometimes pull really hard when he sees a cat or something and this is held up to his extreme excitement.It does have a thick coating over the cable, making it pretty weather resistant. This is a full tie out kit. It comes with the anchor that screws into the ground. It comes with the cable. It comes with some Velcro ties.I do think this is a good quality and I would recommend it as it feels very durable and strong.

I just needed the cable. I'm not a fan of the cable that have caribiner like hooks on the end. They don't open easily and, when the weather gets below freezing, tend to freeze up much more often.This cable has the clips on the end that I like. Less likely to freeze up in cold wet weather.The coiled end is interesting. I'm not sure if it'll really make a difference for a running dog. I've never had a coiled end like this so it'll be interesting to see how it works.The stake is solid. The bright blue top/handle is highly visible. No chance of running it over with your lawnmower. Matches the cable which also is unlikely to get run over when you mow since it's bright blue.The handle to wrap around the cable is also nice. I won't use it for that, but it'll be very useful for a smaller extension cord.All in all, seems like a solid set. With the coupon I'm seeing it offered with today (11/4/24) it's a pretty good deal.
