There are 50 of these thimbles in the package. They protect wire rope loops from wear and tear. I'm using these in reinforcement cabling in an arbor to contain the plants. Nice product.

I needed to connect cable to an eye bolt under my deck to keep the deck from shimming. I was able to put this on the eye bolt and wrap the stainless cable around it before crimping the cable down with a ferrule. The cable looks very professional and I know that the connection is secure. The cable isn't binding or crimping due to the thimble guiding the cable. Great stuff!
