Used this for my old English sheepdog as well my cocker spaniel. It worked very well as it got the muscle power packed into this small unit and pretty light and easy to handle. Makes me wonder why I had to go through three of those lesser pet store brands before realizing all of them are sub-par. I figured out that you just need to adjust the tension knob to suit the type of fur/hair your dog has by first turning the knob mostly anticlockwise and then slowly turning it clockwise quarter turn each time until the tension is correct to cut the dog hair. I found I had to adjust it slightly different for each dog. This Kit also came with a bottle of standard clipper oil to oil the blades and head unit during the clipping process which is important too for smooth clipping. It was easy to use and it came with 2 different Guide attachments and 2 length blades which you can easily remove and attach correct combination for the ones you need accordingly depending how much hair you want to leave behind as well as adjust the speed. In the past I tried some of the larger type cattle clippers but found those were too heavy and hard to handle and very noisy. Due to its power to noise ratio of course you can expect some noise from the clippers but really did not bother my dogs at all. Would recommended highly this was a great find

These clippers are excellent quality and very nice least sized for a large animal clipper. They cut through hair like butter and I love the blue color. The hard case that it comes with will protect the clippers from any falls or damage. There is nothing I dislike about these clippers and I highly recommend them.

I must have gotten a dud judging from the other reviews, or I received a returned item. The screws were so tight I couldn't remove the blades and what was installed doesn't clip anything. They just pull some hair and do not cut. I wasn't able to return because I didn't try using them right away and now I am stuck with a very expensive piece of junk! No user manual was included.EDIT: After my original review I received a call from Australia requesting more information about my issue and offering a choice of either my money back or a new set. I chose the clippers. They arrived very quickly direct from the company's warehouse. This company gets an A+ for great customer service. I will update once I actually use the product.

Got these as a gift and when I went to use them I didn’t even get through 1 shoulder of my horse before the clipper blades were so dull that they were pulling hair. Yes the horse was lean and dry and yes the clipper blades were oiled. Not happy at all. Went to buy new blades and can’t even find blades that fit these clippers. Very disappointed. Call contacted the company they said that they would send me new blades I did receive them put them on tried to clip again got one strip done and they stopped working. Definitely not worth the money and I’m very disappointed in the product. I would never suggest these to anybody.

I have had clippers over the years that fall apart or start rusting after just a couple uses. This time I decided I would spend more money and try to get a nicer pair. These are much more well built than the ones I have used in the past. They are a little heavier but it is due to better, sturdier materials. They are powerful and quiet. The case they come in is also very nice. Think plastic, sturdy claps to close the case and everything fits in the case with easy and extra room. The blades are really sharp, and glide through my dogs coat with easy. I don't have to apply any pressure and get a nice even cut. I think these will last a long time, happy with the purchase.

When I first received the item I was concerned because it was really heavy. But once I used it the heaviness was not a problem and it cut through my horse’s mane like butter. I’m really happy that I got this product. It does have an adjustable knob on top that I haven’t used before but I rotated the knob and it works. It came without oil so I called and was immediately shipped oil. I’m really happy with my purchase.
