This is really good quality unit, on par with very expensive ones I have installed in the past for Much more.It comes with the adapters in case your gas line nipple are of a different size standard size. Really glad it did because I ended up using them, while putting in our new NG stove top. Switched from the old glass top electric.Can't say how long this will last but I think it will last a very long time based on the quality of the build. Definitely recommend it

Seems to be a decent quality regulator. The threads are cut nicely and hoses screw in without issue. I do not have a regulator to check the water column and verify accuracy but I have no reason to think it won't be accurate.The size is perfect for my needs and should work with just about any heater

An accurate regulator for operating your natural gas or propane appliances. The 1/2 psi inlet requires a regulator to cut tank pressure down to the 1/2 psi. The outlet is 5" water column for natural gas or 10" water column for propane. This is the amount of pressure required using a standardized measuring device to push a standardized pipe full of water up 5" for natural gas and push the water up 10" for propane. This is a very small amount of pressure required to operate gas appliances and gas equipment properly. Also included, is two 1/3" mnpt by 3/8" copper flare adapter for hooking up with copper tubing.

No instructions, however, the markings of “NG & LP†with a directional arrow > is marked on the small threaded brass nipple attached to the removable larger aluminum threaded nipple where that indicates your selection of use depending how it is aimed or how you set it inside the regulator. Setting the Proper Direction is needed.The directional arrow with "LP & NG" use indicators are to be set by you according to your choice from research that I did on my own. So, if you want to use the Natural Gas or "NG" > selection as an output choice through the regulator you need to have it pointing up and away from the body of the regulator where the "LP" > would be towards the inside body of the regulator giving it the correct orifice size needed....and, of course, the flip would apply for your choice of use for "LP" output…see photos included, as I understand it.BTW, the yellow plug is meaningless as that orifice is a dead-end or blank.The Regulator has two mounting threaded ports that would allow an unknown screw size to attach there for mounting it. Would have to try various sizes to determine what would work as the correct mounting screws, probably would be a metric size since it’s made in China and they are on the metric system.I haven’t tried this to test it yet but, I’m planning to go with Nat Gas or NG output through this regulator so the brass nipple "NG" > will be positioned up with the "LP" > is then down into the body of the regulator, your interpretation and experience may vary, good luck.

This unit seems well made, but comes with no instructions at all. If you're not familiar or comfortable with making basic gas connections, have someone help or advise you on installing this regulator. Make sure you have the right tools as well, including yellow (for gas) teflon tape, pipe wrench, etc. Note the marking on the outer body indicating direction of gas flow. Know what fittings, adapters, pipe, and/or tubing you will need to connect to your gas source and destination appliance (like a grill). Gas should not be run through galvanized pipe.The only adjustment you will need to make to the unit itself is the direction of the little brass valve fitting under the screw off cap. If your gas source is propane, install the brass piece with the "LP" mark pointing up to the cap. If natural gas, the "NG" mark points up. Verify this information on your own, as well.
