Product Description

The Quality Choice

Your water pressure matters. Filtration systems have an optimal PSI range for operation, and anything above that range threatens to damage the system itself or compromise efficiency. Keep your pressure at the appropriate level and protect from sudden pressure spikes with the simple addition of a food-grade PSI gauge. Designed for use with the purest RO Water Filtration Systems this gauge is lead free and BPA free.

I needed this to reduce the tap water pressure from 120 psi to less than 100 for my water filtration system. This reduces to 70 which is perfect operating range for that. 70psi is printed on the valve, I don't know why they haven't put that in the product description here on Amazon. It popped right in to the 1/4" tubing for the inlet to the filter system. No leaks, no problem. I did not measure the actual output pressure, I'm guessing it's fine.

Using for my RO system. Incoming PSI to my house is 110. This scaled it down to something managable for my system. No leaks.

My water pressure was around 10 psi higher than my RO unit could handle. This works well.

I have a motorized pump RO system, i wish there was a 30psi version of this. anyway.. this 70psi will do for now, i still ended up doing additional disassembly and clean-up repairs to my ice line maker valve, then put it back together.* My ice line valve lost its pressure regulating strength due to the new RO System delivery power + water tank, it kept over flooding the ice bin.

Creeps easily over 70PSI with use of booster pump though you can see it slowly drops back to 70 after I stop dialing the pump output pressure regulator. No way I can set it @ 80 psi. I guess better to be safe than sorry and sweetspot that pump regulator to prevent ro membrane suffocation should the pump decide to go insane. Though it's huge, almost the size of ASO valve so cant hide it underneath the horizontally placed filters.

Defective product and incorrect support advice. Slow shipping (over 1 week) and replacement would be another 1+ week.

Updated 02/27/2020 - It looks like after a few days usage the water pressure has leveled out. The gauge, after the regulator now reflects a ~70psi maximum.So.....I purchased the Express Water UV-C Water Sterilizer which per the data sheet is limited to 70psi...Ordered this and even after install, water pressure is still above 70psi...The water pressure does drop below 70 when it is flowing... But.... At least it isn't 80+ anymore. =/

Works great on our refrigerator. Ice maker kept getting frozen over due to excessive water pressure. Once installed, no problems since. Been working several months now without issue.
