Expectations tanked when, with the first use, one of the pencils actually scraped the chalk coating off of my chalkboard. The colors come out way too dark (the manufacturers know that most chalkboards are BLACK, yes?) and the tips are too brittle to hold a proper point, and so you get to work with pencils that will not stay sharp. Poor quality, cheaply made, entirely disappointed with this purchase.

Not the greatest writing have to go over it several times to see the chalk but maybe because it’s a chalk pencil.

I usually like using chalk markers for my chalk calendar board but they smudge too easy. These work great for staying neat!

These chalk pencils came in a nice enough container and the colors are nice as well however, they are impossible to sharpen and a couple of the tips were broken when it arrived. The set includes 2 pencil sharpeners but the openings are so tight a fit that the pencil tips break every time. I didn’t choose to return them because I wasn’t sure that they would take them back since I decided to try to sharpen a couple of them with a knife instead.

I use these for a chalkboard calendar. They break so easily when you sharpen them compared to other brands I have. They are a rougher tip and scratch my chalkboard so I don’t understand how they’re breaking so easily. I wish I read the others reviews before buying them, oh well — they’re cheap enough.
