Compared to cheap sidewalk chalk or ikea chalk this is incredibly smooth. It’s certainly breakable and I don’t know why the manufacturer doesn’t just change the packaging, maybe it would increase the price beyond what the average consumer would pay? Anyway it’s worth it for me despite one price arriving cracked. (Within a day of use all of them end up cracked anyway)

This is hands down the BEST chalk. Yes, it may come with some broken pieces because it crumbles easily. That's also why it's good. No screeching dry, scratchy chalk! I've used Prang chalk for years, and I never use anything else if I can help it.

This is my favorite chalk but it doesn’t ship well. All but 4 pieces were broken.

This chalk is great and the only brand that will fit our chalk holder, but don’t order it from Amazon. It wasn’t packaged properly so it arrived with 9 out of 12 sticks broken. Now I’m inconvenienced by having to drive to the UPS store to return it.

Out of five boxes, four had all the chalk broken, from half sticks to colored dust. Going to an office supply store.
