This curtain ribbon is great value to help achieve that professional look to hang your curtains. I had no idea these kind of product existed (also look up 4 prongs hook) until I decided to google diy French pleat. Wow, so that’s how you can do it easily and inexpensively! Highly recommend. I am redoing all my curtains this way.

At first I thought after receiving the tape that it would be too stiff to work with. I was wrong and glad I purchased it. Yes it is stiff and it should be so the pleats will not flop or stretch. Its a professional finish. I learned that pre-pinching the tape by fan-folding the 4 prong pockets and releasing the folds made it easier to handle before inserting the prongs. My drapery was lined and the fabric was not light fabric. For fully Inserting the hooks, I used a small screw driver (that I keep handy for sewing machine maintenance) by placing it under the strong hook and gently pulled while sliding the hooks into proper position. I believe this would not be necessary for light fabric, it just helped save my fingers working on all the panels and worked like a charm. The pleats look great. This was my first experience doing pinched pleats and I am totally satisfied.

My previous review was critical of this pleat tape as the slots for the hooks were sealed. that seems to have been the case with the outer top layer of the roll because the slots were open as I unraveled the tape. I ended up having to break through the top layer of each slot with a seam ripper for those slots that were closed. Not ideal but at least I was able to use the product.

This material is VERY stiff and difficult to get the pins into. I'm glad I got the small roll because it won't be used. No instructions. I'm disappointed all the reviews are not visible on Amazon. A video would be so helpful. So far I'm not happy

This pleaters tape is so stiff that once it’s sewn onto your fabric the fabric will not have much flexibility left.
