These are quite strong, easy enough to operate with arthritis, but can nearly slip from your grasp when fully open due to the comfort curve on the part you pinch. The stamped sheet metal design means you have some hard edges on the surface you clamp to, so you may consider that if clamping to surfaces that are painted or have another easily damaged finish. One of the optimizations in this product is that they opted not to use a pin for the pivoting of the clamp and spring retention, instead they stamped through the body and pressed the flared material flat to form a hinge, capturing each side like a rivet. This is definitely simpler and cheaper. The springs aren't trying to escape and I haven't found any failed or loose hinges, I think this works. If you want to coat them yourself for some reason it is simple to use a product like Plasti Dip to coat them as required or apply shrink tubing but for most applications in the garden this is likely not a problem. For flat surfaces they did include a tab of material on the nose that is nicely pressed flat that stabilizes the clamp on the surface. Stainless is definitely the way to go for these and those kinds of manufacturing changes make it affordable too. Don't expect the overpriced fluffy version you might see commonly at big box home stores, but that's what makes them a fantastic value.

These are great for drying your harvest and easy to clean when done. Will not oxidize on your cuts and strong enough to keep even the largest cuts hanging for 10 days. When I’m done, I just throw them all in a bucket of simple green and they’re ready for the next run. Highly recommend and great value for this many clips

This one is not too good. My shirts were destroyed after using it to hang.
