I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing. Total waste of money. They are larger than 3/8", they had to be pounded in, and they broke easily. I don't know how many holes I had to re-drill because of the dowel breaking. So, that I wouldn't waste them, I chucked them up and sanded them down to fit a 3/8" hole. That may have solved the problem of them being too thick, but they still broke.One star rating is very generous.

Well fluted dowels but had to return since the diameter was 1mm too large to fit the drill holes
