This makes a beautiful sugar bowl. The spoon arrived unbroken, but it's very small. Like other people, I replaced it with a teaspoon from the table and that works well.

This bowl is very pretty with a convenient notch in the lid for a spoon. We use it as an everyday sugar bowl, but it is elegant enough to put out for company as well. The ceramic spoon that comes with the bowl is fragile. Many reviewers have complained about this and, like some other people, my spoon arrived broken. But I could see that the spoon would have been too shallow for its purpose anyway, in my opinion, so I would have ended up using one of my own silver or stainless steel spoons anyway - and that is what I am doing now. I don't care about the spoon. I love the bowl. The design is perfect and it is quite pretty and cheerful. My husband likes it, too!

Purchased to replace the sugar bowl we'd had for years, but my wife much prefers this one . . . and wants me to see if I can find a creamer that matches.No apparent issues or problems after 3 months of use.

I’ve always had a sugar bowl similar to this one and when it broke I foolishly almost cried! All those early morning cups of coffee…that sugar bowl had seen them all! This one is a fine replacement and from the quality I think it’ll be around for many many mornings!
