I ran a large power line for my amplifier in my truck. I decided to add an inverter in my truck so rather than running another line I got these to split the power.

Works perfectly. I needed to expand upon my car stereo. Worked perfectly for adding an additional amplifier.

I added a pair of powered subs AND an amplifier to my beater (I can't drive a car without a GOOD stereo!) and these ensure a positive connection, NO loss of power and the SAFEST WAY to split the power coming from a 2 gauge power supply to smaller power wires to various components. NOTE: Don't EVER run a large power cable into your vehicle without a fuse/circuit breaker located as close to the battery as possible!!! If you're like me and like, make that REQUIRE multiple amp sound systems in your vehicles, invest in quality cable splitters like this. Not only is this the RIGHT WAY to do this type of installation, but it also ensures there is no power loss (no voltage drops) between the battery and the amplifiers, you're assured of no shorts and the potential of a fire if you are running too large of a fuse/circuit breaker for your system. I've bought these more times than I can count over the years, from a myriad of manufacturers. These are as good as any! Recommended! Kirk

There's no clips to hold the plastic cover down. Even though it may fit slightly snug now, after a summer or two baking inside my black car it will warp, like plastic tends to do. Since they are inline before the fuse blocks I'll have to glue them or something. Why do the screws use 2 different size hex wrenches? That unnecessarily complicates installation. I didn't get the bag with 2 screws (for the 4 holes) like others have pictured. They don't come with wrenches, if you were expecting them IKEA style. I noticed a lot of wire strands ended up in the hollow space on the sides of the screws so you'll want to really cram it in there to make as much surface contact as possible.

Good looking and reasonably priced but be careful. The backing plate they're mounted to is very thin plastic. If your mounting them on carpet or an uneven surface you can easily break them. In addition the clear plastic cover just presses on and has no snap or lock. As long as your mounting them flat it's probably fine. I put a dab of clear silicone on mine to make the caps stay put.

Great connectors, plastic cap could be a tad more tight but overall they are great
