You will need to buy just the electrified track. It is super easy to install.Every light has it own power supply, with a small antenna for the remote control - the good thing is you don't see any wire, this is charm!The light is also ultra sharp, as it use lenses in front of LEDs, you will get an extra touch of bright in what you want to flood this light (jewelry, paints, clothes, crystals, will see sturdier than usual).The remote control is RF, so you don't need to point to the lights to operate, and the buttons are rubberized, as the good RC's needs to be!As it sits in the ceiling, no extra space in your floor or desk: a great addition to your place. Really recommend it: you will have the perfect mood for work (cold bright lights) to cozy (dimmed warm lights).

Been waiting a long time for this innovation. Thanks to the Radio Frequency (RF) remote control included with each lot of fixture heads, you can now adjust brightness from (+/- 20% to 100%) and color temperature steplessly from warm white to very cold (bluish) white for each fixture head on a track as well as turning each fixture head on or off from your easy chair without having to climb a ladder to do so manually. In addition, each head has adjustable beam spread which is set by rotating a collar on each fixture. Since beam spread, once set, is rarely changed, being able to do so via remote control isn't important for most users. But changing brightness, color temperature and on/off by remote control for singles or groups of heads is a real advantage.Be aware that these heads are factory-paired with the specific remote control that ships with whatever pre-boxed lot of heads you purchase. I bought 4 boxes of 6 heads per box (total of 24 heads). So I received 4 remote controls, each paired to a specific group of 6 heads. And the pairing can be changed by the user -- IF the user receives instructions from the factory. Without these instructions, the heads are locked to the specific remotes they are packed with at the factory. I received no instructions with any of the 4 boxes of heads I bought and was about to return them for credit because I couldn't get them to work consistently when mixing heads from different boxes with the 4 remotes I received. Thanks to Amazon's Customer Service Tech team, proper instructions for pairing were then emailed to me.If you order more than one lot of heads, be sure to identify each head/remote pairing. And, with the instructions, you can change head/remote pairing, enabling you to control heads (dimming, color temperature and ON/OFF) in groups or individually on a single track. Since dimming is controlled by circuitry in each head, you do not need special LED dimmers to avoid common LED-dimming problems such as non-operability or flickering. BE SURE YOU RECEIVE THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHANGING PAIRING SETTINGS.

All of the lights that I received even replacements have issues with the inner components not being secured within the housing.

These are extremely nice lights and packaged as a six-pack. These work on existing "H" category lighting tracks although the tracks themselves are not included. They're very bright at the onset however they can be adjustable. They go from a very warm light to a very stark and cold bright light. They also have adjustable lenses so you can pinpoint the light or spread it out more. They also come with a remote control ( what doesn't?). Very nice lighting product.

These heads are unique for their features which include the ability to direct the lighting level, dimmability, and temperature all through a remote. The ability to zoom means you can pinpoint or spread the light. The 12 watt rating is almost twice that of other heads. Recommended for ease of installation and versatility.

These lights are great for augmenting the existing track lights at the pet grooming shop. They were easy to install, and with six units, were used to highlight artwork and enhance the work area as well. Adjusting the beam angle is easy and the remote makes it easy to change the warmth of the color and dimming without climbing a ladder. Very nice lights!
