The house I moved into came with a hot tub that needed drained. I bought this pump because it was cheap and got decent reviews, and so far it's working exactly how I wanted it to.The hot tub in question is 400-500 gallons, and this pump drained it in about 15 minutes, maybe a little longer. that was with a standard garden hose. I believe you can take the hose adapter off and use a full size hose to drain much faster. Operation was super simple and easy:Step 1: Attach hose to pump.Step 2: Drop pump into deep part of water.Step 3: Plug pump into socket. It starts right away and stops when you unplug it again.It's worth noting that this pump does not have a floater shut-off like others do, meaning you have to watch the water level and unplug manually when all the water is drained. According to the marketing, it does have built-in automatic thermal overload protection, but to be safe it's probably best to watch it or set a timer or something just in case.

This pump was purchased to replace a 20-year old pump I use to empty a large water fountain, about 100-gallons. It works exactly as described, used it twice so far. It is very quiet, very powerful (empties in about 7-10 minutes, fantastic price. It fits a standard hose and comes with an adapter for another hose, the seal works great no leaks. It expells the water at a bit faster than an outside garden hose on high. I am very happy with this product.

The pump worked great for 6 months of outdoor service. The auto on-off feature worked great. It was in an intermediate to light duty application. It must have developed an internal electrical fault. It began tripping my GFCI plug. I checked the amperage at startup and it is trying to pull almost 40amps and that is tripping the breaker. The form factor was perfect. I was hoping to get at least a couple of years of service. Maybe I just got a bad one. The 2 star review is deserved. My search for a quality pump in this type of form factor continues.Update: The seller reached out to me and we figured out a way to get a replacement pump at a significant discount. It is working well out of the box. Time will tell. I wish I could give 1/2 stars as I would like to revise my review to 3.5 stars and increase it again later with some successful use. Amazon doesn't allow this. I will give 4 stars as a thank you to the seller.

Initially, this pump worked great as a backup to my basement sump pump. It rarely needed to work, because there was not much water that the main sump pump could not keep up with. But whenever the water level raised, this Bomgie pump worked like a charm. I liked it so much, I bought a second one for a friend's basement.Then, mine stopped working when I needed it most -- after just 3 months of minimal usage. Now, I'm planning to return both.I'd prefer to work with Bomgie's Customer Service Team. However, it's really frustrating for Bomgie to advertise great customer service, but not share any contact info. How the hell are we supposed to reach them? The company does not even have a website! Another reviewer mentioned that the Bomgie team contacted them after leaving a similar review; so I'm hoping they reach out to me as well. If they do, I will update this review. But if they don't, I'd highly recommend folks buy water pumps from a brand that has a durable products and accessible customer service -- maybe even a website!!

After returning 2 cheaper pumps. Before using. I stepped up one grade. This one has a much more solid build, obviously heavier than other pumps in the 1/3 hp class, and works great.You still have to insert it at an angle to defeat air lock but almost all require that.It is not a cast iron zoeller but still a great performance price point. Def worth the extra few $.

Just used it during our last rain storm 65 mm within 24 hrs. Water filled up basement window well, after install no more water in window well after few more days of rain.

This works really well. We used it in our rain barrels to pump water to our gardens. Super easy to use just pop it into the barrel, attach a hose and turn it on, made using rain water really easy.

Petite pompe que j'utilise pour vider ma piscine de 6 pieds, fais bien la job, gardez le toujours à l'oeil lorsqu'il est en marche parce qu'il ne s'arrête pas automatiquement lorsque le niveau d'eau est à son minimum. Je recommande ce produit
