How to cut easily cracked vinyl plank floor - SPC floor in notch and rip cutting?
- Each shallow cut is 5" long x 1/16" deep for spc flooring. (1~2mm deep)；This way ( 5inch-length not too much force， easy control your arm strength), the floor won't crack.
- Or move the metal slide before cutting the SPC floor, easy to shallow cut. Each cut max.long is about 13" ; Just cut through the surface of the floor and stop; paying attention to one end of the blade to land on the workbench first .
Each shallow cut is 5" long x 1/16" deep for spc flooring; (1~2mm deep)； 5" long, easy to control your arm strength.
If the blade holder is suspended and does not reset when the new cutter is opened.
Only two positions 1 and 2 will cause the blade holder to hang;
- please add lubricating oil to the long hole 1 on the side plate-edible oil can also be used;
- The nut at position 2 may be tightened too tightly!

It cuts lengthwise through glue down planking like XL really well. It's almost a quarter inch thick, fiberglass core material. It's kinda floppy stuff and it doesn't really crack, and this thing will chop lengthwise though it with no issues at all. Plus you can sometimes do under door jamb cuts with it, without moving the blade. Technically you can do every type of cut with it, but you would have to loosen the blade bolts and slide it around. Not very convenient to do, so I just use a saw for those cuts.If your using it for click together flooring, you can't do lengthwise cuts. It will crack. It will do butt cuts just fine, and angled cuts, but you can't rip a board with it, it'll crack in an uncontrollable fashion. But if the material is softer, you can do rip cuts with it, no problem. My other chopper is the same brand, and Ive used it for 2 years, and it still works the exact same. Good brand, I like that I can easily move the guard around. Makes certain cuts easier.

Not 100% happy with this. Hard to move the blade for cuts, it does make perfect straight edges though

Used the Mantistol 13†cutter to install LVP flooring. Cutting to length was a breeze, and ripping was fairly easy once I got the hang of it. Made the job go faster and cleaner than with power saws. Still needed a jig saw for the unique cuts. Would recommend for LVP flooring

I used this to install a vinyl plank floor. This works well, cuts were clean. Length cuts were a little learning curve. But it saved me from running out to the chop saw and table saw. Seems to be pretty durable. I'm definitely going to use it again so it's a good value.

Contact Mantistol with issue with purchased Item, have gotten no response!! issue was guide bar for chop table would not attach to table, table has holes to mount guide bar in but bar pins don't line up with table holes. Asked if Mantistol could replace bar, been several days with no response. NO support so will send item back!!

I used it for vinyl plank flooring. For any cut where the plank extends beyond the end of the blade, the plank cracks towards the nearest edge. So it worked great for standard cross-cut (ie, cutting the plank to length, which was > 90% of the cuts needed), and it worked okay for cutting the plank to the correct width but made trash out of the unused portion of the plank. The description says it will make corner cuts and notches, but it cannot—I had to use my jigsaw for those.It’s well-made, and did save me time, but I expected more out of it.

I put SPC vinyl flooring in my basement and this thing made it so easy! Dust free, clean cuts, and looks like a pro did it, not a DIY! I was impressed since SPC is a pretty hard material. My flooring had the plastic padding glued to the bottom too and it worked fine.Take your time, measure, figure out the tool, move the blade around for notch cuts, use the little metal guides for keeping long cuts down the length of the plank even and true. It can handle most situations.Note: for those long cuts where you need to do multiple cuts to get across, I would push the blade halfway down at every step as I move down the plank to keep from cracking the plank. Then go back and push harder and it will crack where you want it to cut. Kinda like pre-scoring a cut. For standard cross cuts that are done in one step, push all the way and it's perfect every time.
