When I went to search how to fix my washer when the latch broke and the pieces from that got stuck in the electronic mechanism (rendering it destroyed), after seeing this part vs. the OEM was the difference between my fixing the 13-year-old gal or replacing it with a $900 model, I decided to invest in this part instead.I discovered that my washer was build different enough that it didn't have the spring mechanism, so I had to pop the top off of the machine and work on it that way. This normally would have just been a small PITA, but as I have injured my wrists when I was younger and repairs weren't as good as medicine can do now, I don't have much flexibility in them, meaning that I had to rip the crap out of my hands in order to get in/around/through the gauntlet of wires and framing to be able to replace this part.Once I was able to replace the part inside the washer and put it back together, it worked like a charm, it even feels 'sturdier' when I shut the door and it has a more solid 'feel' when I use it.The only 'downgrade' I have isn't with the product, it's how Amazon treats people who aren't part of their 'Prime' subscription, it took almost two weeks to get the part in my hands and I suspect that's the 'penalty' they serve to us when we won't buy their 'Prime'.

My washer door wouldn’t close because the little white plastic piece was broken inside the gray piece. I replaced it myself and it was an easy fixed!

Part is not a 100% fit as the door won't close without keeping it pushed in and starting the wash cycle. I have to lean my knee against the door. The part also "buzzes" during the wash cycle indicating it is failing. This is the second part from this vendor with the same issue. It is working for now though.
