  • No, no sealant needed. The tubing gets flared that the nuts reside on and when tightened into the union everything compresses and seals.

  • Both the unions and nuts is metric 3/8-24 threads (regular 3/16 inch tube fitting size). The nut is called the fitting for 3/16 inch tube, these unions fittings have a hex size of 3/8 inch and the threads are 3/8 inch with a thread pitch of 24.

  • If your honda has 3/16 in lines, these will fit. these are to be used as a unit, 2 nuts and a union to connect two lines together.

I ordered these to have around when I need to work on some brake lines. I do all of my own mechanic work on cars and have for years. I keep a couple of old cars around. So, I haven't used these yet but they thread into each other fine and the workmanship looks as good as other brake parts I have. The seal portion of the unions are clean and look like they would seal fine against a good flare. If I have a problem when installed, I'll update but I don't foresee any issues comparing them to some I have already. The price is excellent and now I don't have to run to the parts store looking for suitable fittings.
