Bought this because our new faucet was smaller in diameter than our old one so the hole in the wall was exposed. This covered it perfectly.

This is definitely a high quality seal that you can not find in any DIY big box store! Fits really nice and snug, add a little extra caulking if you'd like. I'm very pleased with the quality, durability and effectiveness!!!

Gasket is hard plastic and doesn’t go over a fitting. I would have to cut my copper pipe to make it work and sweat a new fitting which completely defeats the purpose of using a spacer. I was able to find something else to fill the inside of the metal piece. You could cut the gasket as well. I kept it because I can’t find anything else to do this and it works fine, but frustrating that the pieces included do not address the purpose for using it.

Be aware that as shown in the items description might be thought suitable for 1/2 inch ips pipe.
