Nylon Insert Hex Locknuts
Stainless Steel 304 (18/8)
Nylon insert locknut is a kind of nut with nylon collar insert to resist turning.
When you install the nylon lock nut onto a bolt, the nylon insert wraps around the threads and locks the nut in place. This gives a nylon lock nut a distinct advantage over a lock washer because the nylon lock nut is unaffected by vibration.
- Its inner diameter might be slightly smaller than the major diameter of the bolt. You probably fee a little resistance but it's normal.
- The nylon insert locks the nut by friction against the screw under the applied radial compressive force.
- Made of Stainless Steel 304 (18-8) which provides good strength and corrosion resistance in bad environments.

I purchased the EASTLO 1' 1/4-20 SS screws and matching nylon insert lock nuts together. I found them to be perfect. I had no stripped threads and they threaded perfectly on each other.I will be using EASTLO again and would recommend their hardware to anyone looking for great look as well as exceptional quality.

I really like these lock nuts with the neoprenet insert. I bought them to use on two rear sway bar links that I bought on Ebay. The nuts that came with the links, did not have the neoprene locking piece inside the nut itself. So I used this as a substitute, they are stainless and worked great. To make sure the would stay put I alos added LocTite Blue on the stems of the bolt assembly to make sure they would be held in place. The Loctite Red is way too much for this type of application. Very well made nuts and did the job.

I have a few projects that will be for outdoor items, like my utility trailer. Using these on Yellawood pressure treated lumber of the decking and side boards on the trailer and other dissimilar metal connections. We'll see how resistant they are to weathering. Good so far.
