Carpet is very soft to the touch, VERY easy to install. I have only had it for a short time so I am not sure about the durability, but so far, so good.

Very good, used a little adhesive spray to make it stick a little more

These treads were installed in a basement staircase that had been painted multiple times andwas certainly not stain quality. I like the soft, fuzzy feel of the tread. I think the relatively highpile will help stop cats from tracking litter and husbands from tracking sawdust up the stairs. The back of the tread has a clear film keeping the adhesive sealed, with a red tag on thecorner to help pull off. The adhesive itself is of little value. I think it is designed to beremovable and replaceable. Because every job that is worth doing is worth overdoing, Ireplaced it with carpet adhesive and crown staples on the corners. Its worth noting thatdouble sided tape was also included, and I suspect that would be more than enough for mostusers. 15 treads is a nice number, giving you one or two extras for when one inevitably getsstained or ripped. Overall, I'm happy with the product and would order again.

These are very utilitarian stair treads. These aren't fancy likes some others, and the color is quite muted pattern simple. But these seem more durable than some others I have purchased in the past, so they are ideal for high-traffic areas, and especially our basement stairs. They are well-sewn and I haven't seen any fraying on them at all. Though they seem very durable (machine washable!), they are also soft, so comfortable to step on in socks. The dark color helps hide any soil which is helpful when they are used as basement stair treads. That means I won't need to wash them as often or worry about staining. The backing is challenging to peel off sometimes. I've had to do these with some other treads in the past so I am better at it. I think there should have been a thicker plastic or even paper backing used to make it easier to see, especially if it doesn't peel of cleanly and you need to try and find where the tear is to peel the rest off. But once the plastic is off, they stay quite well on clean hardwood surfaces (emphasis on the CLEAN - definitely wash your stairs before applying). What surprised me is that these come with a role of double-sided adhesive tape! I didn't need it for this installation, but after washing I may need to reinforce the adhesion as it tends to wear down gradually after many washes. It is a nice thoughtful addition by the seller to include this.Overall, I think these are a perfect set of stair treads for a basement or other high-traffic area. They are strong, durable, and easy to apply. Excellent product, and five stars from me. ðŸ‘

Brown stair treads: Good size. The texture is really non-slip, even though they are soft enough to use barefoot, or even to let a baby on them (though a baby as young as in the pic should not be allowed to climb stairs). They look nicer in person than in the picture: the lighter area between the brown parts is a little darker than the pic. They have a pre-installed adhesive on the back, and it is surprisingly ineffective. It literally did not stick to my fingers. It would probably work OK for very smooth steps, and would be great if you want to use them temporarily, since they would certainly come off cleanly. They do come with a very well-chosen roll of double-stick tape, quite thin and very sticky. I'm sure it would work well. We decided to use Liquid Nails instead: it worked great, and we thought it would be easier to install, so we could slide them a little after sticking them down. It took about the same amount of time (well under an hour), and cost about $3.Also, there are 15 treads in the box, which is generous, since a standard U.S. staircase has 13 steps, so even if you have a landing, it might be enough. (But it wouldn't hurt to count to be sure.)

These step carpets are good enough for my garage stairs but I would not use them for inside the house. They are lighter weight but softer than I expected. The adhesive is not great but again does the job for my garage stairs. I can pull off the carpets easy which is great for my need so I can replacement them when they get beat up. But if you are relying on using all of the carpets in the box, I think you will be disappointed.

We painted our basement stairs and wanted something to offer a little more protection and color. These peeled up easily when I needed to readjust my placement. They are soft and while nothing fancy, definitely made the stairs look better and work perfect for what we needed.
