I do finish carpentry. Part of my job is to put the door hinges back on after the painter is done. The door shops that pre hang the doors frequently strip them out. I shove a dowel in and break it off and problem solved. 12†long so I can put a dozen at a time in my bags. Cheap fix.

I ordered these dowel rods for some of my craft projects and they worked great. Because of there smaller diameter they are a little flexible but that actually worked to my advantage in this particular project. The product itself is well made and none of them came splintered or broken.

I used these for a classroom project. I needed them to be smooth and straight. These did the trick. None of the dowels were broken on arrival and they remained unbroken through an activity with 12 year olds!
