We've used these squares to make baseplates for art & craft projects, as canvases for woodburning, and a lot more! The wood is very consistent in quality, takes ink & paint very well, and is very flat. If need be, you can also flatten them under a pile of books or rocks. The wood is thin enough to accept this correction within a few days. I didn't have to do this for mine, but it's worth knowing about just in case.

The wood was exactly what I figured it would be, decent quality that was mostly flat. My project required 1/16 thick and this was one of the few that had it in the 12 x 12 size. Beggars can't always be choosers so to speak. I would use it again if I was in a pinch.

Needed this to cut out some shapes for a project we were working on and it worked amazing. All I used was a utility knife and it cut perfectly with a little pressure!

It's some other type of wood - a lot more rigid, more dense, and hard to cut.

I have a Xtool M1 and it cut and engraved this product on basswood mode perfectly. Definitely recommend!
