5 Petri dishes I can autoclave and reuse time and again. These are sturdy appearing glass Petri dishes I am used to see doing microbiology. I tried with a package of plastic disposables previously. They were so flimsy and cheap I lost my heart. Why would I want to waste money and the landfill using flimsy plastic dishes.

I had asked my 15 year old grandson what he needed or wanted for Christmas. He said he will be doing a big science experiment after the first of the year and could use some petri dishes. So I went searching online and found these, ordered them and sent them to my grandson for Christmas. I had looked at plastic ones and could get 10 for the price of these 5 but as these 5 were glass, I thought they would be better for his experiment and possibly safer. My grandson was thrilled to receive them. Not sure how his experiment worked yet.

Great value. Was originally looking for glass containers to place in my shrimp tank. All of the ones I researched were expensive or not worth the $$$. These petri dishes are great as they are thin, glass, clear and just the right size.

There is a very large gap between the top and bottom of all dishes and several were broken when the product arrived.They had a piece of tissue paper between the top and bottom section so likely are not sterile / ready to use aswell.I do not like the waste from plastic petri dishes but I am very dissapointed with this product.Will not be buying more from this manufacturer!

The top one of the five dishes was shattered. All other dishes were fine. Amazon wants me to return the whole order for a new one or refund. I don't want to return the four unbroken dishes. I thought a reimbursement for one dish would be fine but that option was not available. I guess I just payed for four instead of five, hence the four out of five star rating.

Each dish has a lid, so you can use those too to get 10 total dishes. I use them as food dishes for aquariums. Excellent quality and price!

Their is a big size diffrence between top lid and bottom...hard to keep contamination out...I would not recommend.

When the package came there was no airbags or anything to keep it safe during transportation. Thankfully only one piece showed up broken but still unfortunate. Also there's a large gap in between the bottom and the top piece, there's a lot of movement in between them which makes it feel unsafe to handle my cultures.

Why amazon keeps a product that's obviously misleading to say the least.No where in the add you will find the seller mentioning the product is made of plastic, and cheap plastic at that.Terrible returned it right away.

Add says glass petri dishes. I received plastic ones. I should have known better as other reviews said the same thing. I was a fool to ignore them!

Disappointed with misleading ad that these were glass petri dish. What was sent to me were cheap plastic petri dish.
