If your blower motor won't turn off when the key's turned off, more than likely this is the culprit.It happened before and I took it to a shop but this time I researched and found that the local parts store price was $100. I picked this resister specifically due to the companys description of the part. Didn't use the wiring harness as existing one was fine so changeover was easier.The hardest part was getting the cover (below the glove box) back on.So far it's working excellently and I highly recommend this item.

Once I finally figured out how to connect wiring, it worked like a charm. Shipped with almost no instructions, otherwise, fairly straight forward and thankfully not hard to figure out.

My Blower motor stopped working on my 06 GMC Sierra. Checked two fuses to see that they weren’t blown and that the compressor was still working. Then ordered the blower motor Resistor. It’s an improved design over the original OEM. Installed easily and solved the problem.

Installation was easy. But when installed the blower motor would take a few seconds to shut off at first. Then one day it randomly failed and the blower motor continued to run after i shut the vehicle off and killed my battery.
