You should only purchase these inserts if you have a cutterhead (or other tool) that accepts inserts with NO radius on the cutting edge. This means that these inserts are NOT compatible with Shelix cutterheads, even though the product information claims that they are. ALL Shelix cutterheads use inserts that have a 100mm radius on the cutting edge, and that radius is necessary for the cutterhead to function properly. Using inserts like these, that have no radius at all, will not get you the results you want.As a side note, the general dimensions of these inserts are the same as Shelix inserts (15mm x 2.5mm), so these may appear superficially similar, but don't be fooled. The cutting edge radius matters just as much as the dimensions, and these definitely fail in that category.

These cutters have no radius. I've attached photos of their product on the Right and the Made in Germany product on the Left. The cutter on the Left...with the radius... produces a beautiful surface, glass smooth. The cutter on the Right produces a toothed surface that is clearly inferior and unacceptable. The wood block is maple, right off the machine. DO NOT BUY.
