We used to have a splash zone maybe a foot or 2 around the old water bowl. It seemed half the water was splashed on the floor instead of being consumed.With this bowl, I might see a couple drips a day. I don't know what the payback is in paper towels I've saved, but it's probably a lot in the few weeks I've had this.It took my 2 older (and nervous) pittie mix and lab mix a day or two to get used to the fact that the float on the water moves when they boop it, but once they figured out that it wasn't going to "get" them, they're perfectly comfortable with it. It only took a couple of tries for them to realize the water is only available in the middle of the float.One caveat is that the boys can no longer drink from the bowl at the same time. The little bit of exposed water in the middle of the float is about the same diameter as a can of dog food, too small for 2 bigger dogs to share at the same time. I'm fortunate that neither of my dogs are bullies, but this might be a concern if you have multiple dogs and one is more dominant than the other(s).The bowl is large, perfect amount to last a full 2 days, which is great because the water is always fresh, there's very little waste, and you're not having to refill it more often than you would to refresh the water anyway. It's probably too tall and too much of a reach to the center of the bowl for smaller breeds.Everything comes apart easily to clean.Great idea and great execution, imho.

Love these water dishes for my French bulldogs. They love the shove their whole face in their water bowels creating a huge mess everywhere. This bowl cuts down the water splashes by 80%. They can not shove their whole muzzle in the bowl, they just lick the floating disk and get the water, hydration they need. It’s super easy to keep clean, the clear disc comes out and easy to clean. I bought two and loved it so much my daughter bought one for her lab mix. Definitely recommend if you have messy dogs!

This bowl is great and heavy duty! My dog immediately wanted to drink out of it. I’m excited that it holds so much since he drinks so much, and I am also thankful he won’t spill. It’s very sturdy and not easy to spill. But if you have a dog that uses their paws to dig in the water, they will still easily be able to do that. It seems easy to clean and impossible to break!

Perfect does what it says cats and dogs use it. No doggy dribble plus slows down drinking so my dog doesn't cough as much. Stops kitty paw water play.

We have 3 dogs, one being a Bulldog so full of drool and a very messy drinker. Before this bowl we had towels down & always wiping the floor. Now none of that is needed! Works great! The bowl is easy to clean and refill. Love the stainless steel and filter. Bowl design doesn't tip at all & the grip ring at the bottom doesn't even alow it from scooting around on the floor. Holds enough water for about 1-2 days of water for anytime access to my pups!

I absolutely love this dog fountain and so do my two dogs. Apparently it’s a popular dog fountain because after I bought it, the replacement filters took a few weeks before coming back in stock. My dogs are enjoying great tasting water and I’m not seeing the drooling dog droplets on my floor anymore, I have a messy puppy.It’s a quality made fountain and looks very classy sitting in our dog’s feeding area.I have updated my last review. Replacement filters came back in inventory and I stocked up on them.I really am pleased with the quality, sturdiness and ease of keeping the bowl clean and fresh for my fur babies. I certainly would recommend it

One of my dogs has a drinking problem. He would leave a trail of water every time he drank. This bowl works great! No more water all over the floor. The cats drink out of it too. I will be ordering another one. I will also order some filters. Highly recommend!My only wish is that the floating disk was not plastic. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I am keeping an eye on pets to make sure no one has any allergies or reactions to the plastic.
