Puts off a lot of heat, and looks nice. My only complaint is that all the heat comes out from the top. I wish it had side or front vent. I’m obviously not an engineer or electrician, so there might be a reason for not having these…just wishful thinking..I’m still happy with the purchase.

This is a nice looking fireplace but that's the only positive thing I can say. I've owned a few of these portable fireplaces and this one was the most expensive, so I expected heat output to be at least as good if not better. Unfortunately, it put out very low heat. There's an optional 1500w, higher heat setting but I never had to go that far with other fireplaces. I tested the 1500w setting on others and it tripped my house's circuit breaker - power went out in the room. With this fireplace, I feel forced to go up to 1500w but hesitate because I'm worried the power will go out in the room. I'm going to try it and make sure nothing else in the room is plugged in but even if that works, it sucks knowing all I can do is sit in a room and stair at the wall because the TV, receiver, etc. can't be on at the same time.The remote control feature on this fireplace was an important part of my decision to buy it. With the other fireplaces I've owned, the buttons on the unit itself eventually broke or the door panel started to rattle. I really wanted to be able to use a remote, so I don't have to wear out the buttons or the door panel. The remote didn't work! I tried two different sets of brand new batteries. The light at the top of the remote lights up when pressing a button but no reaction from the furnace. All tests were done within 2-6ft of the unit. Very disappointing.

It's adorable! Very sturdy, well built and easy to assemble. Very little noise when heat function is on, silent when just have "flame show" on. It puts out great heat! Would highly recommend!

We bought this for our heat sponge cat. He loves it. He has a little cat sofa he likes & it’s just the right size for that setting. Turns out the humans in the house like it as well as I find the flame illusion on a lot. Thing puts out some serious heat as well. We’ve used it as auxiliary heat for our bathroom on the coldest mornings. Two switches - one for the flame illusion & one for the heater. The flame illusion looks great but the overall build is meh on the aesthetic scale.

Inferior product. Stops working after a couple of uses. Turn on and it turns off immediately.

I absolutely love the look of this. It's perfect for a bedroom or if you have a bathroom with a large built in tub. It puts out very minimal heat, so it will only heat a very small room or if the room isn't very cold. The heat comes out of the top rather than the front, so it only heats well if it's placed in the floor or on a lower surface. My only real complaint with it is that it does not have a thermostat, so you have to turn it on and off.

So far this space heater works as expected. With a fairly small area to heat, it gives just the right amount of warmth. Doesn't need to run for long and can be turned off for awhile until needed again. The electronic fire brings a bit of coziness.

I like the fireplace very much and have mostly positive things to say:Positive:1- Looks great, nice size, cast iron appearance, realistic flame with 3 brightness settings2- Wire screen instead of glass in front door and sides, making it lighter and safe to move around3- Quiet fan heater at bottom with 2 heat settings 750W and 1500W. The lower heat setting would be preferred if other electrical items are on the same electrical circuit.4.- Control panel is concealed by the front door making the stove look real and the fireplace can be operated by the remote control.Negative:1- The front door made of plastic, is very flimsy and has to be opened to access the controls. If it were made of cast iron it might be better, although it would add alot of weight. So, this is where the remote comes in. The remote operates the fireplace with the door closed, so you don't need to open the door.2- The remote that I received would not work although it did produce a beam of red light. So, I contacted Amazon to request a new remote from Flame and Shade. Flame and Shade sent a note through Amazon giving the procedure for synchronizing the remote with the fireplace. And it worked! I don't know why this information is not included in the manual.Steps to synchronize the remote control with the fireplace:1- With the fireplace unplugged, press and hold the power button on the fireplace with one hand while inserting the plug into a power outlet.2- Continue pressing the power button on the fireplace, point the remote at the fireplace and press the power on and off repeatedly until the fireplace control lights come on.3- Release the power button on the fireplace and check to see if the remote functions are working.There, you have everything I have to say about this lovely little fireplace.

Pour les personnes qui disent que c’est chaud au toucher???? Aucunement chaud au toucher. Je l’ai reçu aujourd’hui et après l’avoir entrée à l’intérieur et lui faire prendre la température de la pièce, je l’ai essayé comme une personne qui prend soin de ses biens. . Après 6 heures de fonctionnement,aucunement chaud au toucher. Et pour les gens qui veulent un article facile à déplacer et très fonctionnel, je peux vous assurer que l’article vaut vraiment la peine d’être acheté et de trôner votre pièce.

Do not buy this. Mine was great while it lasted but I only used it for one winter before the heater stopped working. Amazon won’t help with refund. Save your money, this was very expensive for an item that doesn’t work.
