This paint roller kit has been really useful for a few small painting projects I've been working on around the house. It has pretty much everything you need to get started, including a 9-inch roller, a mini roller, a brush, a tray, tape, and even a sanding block. The extension pole is also handy for reaching higher areas. The quality of the rollers and brushes seems decent for the price. They're not the highest quality, but they've worked well for my needs. The microfiber rollers provided a smooth finish, and the brush was useful for cutting in around the edges. The tray is a good size and easy to clean.I especially appreciate that the kit includes painter's tape and a sanding block. It saved me a trip to the hardware store, and it's always good to have those extras on hand. The extension pole is also a nice touch, as it makes it easier to paint ceilings and higher walls without having to climb a ladder. The only minor downside is that the kit doesn't include a paint can opener, which would have been a nice addition. But overall, it's a great value for the price, and it's perfect for small to medium-sized painting projects around the house.

This is a great set for painting. I'm a novice painter, but was painting with someone else much more experienced. We did not use the paint brush (since we preferred edging with a 2-3" handled paint brush) but this would work well for corners. The brush itself worked well. The extender was great. It's not telescoping--to get more length you actually screw pieces together. This is helpful as you can make it long, or a mid-length, depending on your space/needs.Only complaint--the tray needed to be about 1/2 inch wider. The roller kept bumping against the edge. It was do-able, but not ideal for rolling paint back and forth in the tray.

At the big box store I usually go to, they have paint in supplied in a "good, better, best" type offering. I would say these are equal to the lower range ones in terms of quality, but this set comes in at a better price. So, I wouldn't use these rollers for a project like kitchen cabinets, but I have found them good for some projects I have made of smoother lumber.

This paint roller kit is a great purchase with almost everything you need to get started with a painting project. I'm impressed that they even thought of adding the sanding block, stirring stick, and blue tape! The only thing missing might be a drop cloth and perhaps a screwdriver to remove the lid of paint, and the paint itself, of course. I am especially excited about the versatile extension pole which can be used at various lengths. Overall I think this is a wonderful kit for a beginner or professional and I'm looking forward to starting my next painting project with all the supplies I could need!

UPDATE: Just as I began my first full wall - I was using only one segment of the extension pole - the handle snapped, sending the roller tumbling to the ground. Needless to say, the roller itself isn't great quality. I will, however still be using the roller covers and the rest of the kit - utilizing a different/stronger rollerThe only thing worse than the tedious process of prepping a room for painting is the price of all of the non-paint supplies needed to do it.This kit is the best all in one solution that will keep costs at a bare minimum without sacrificing the quality & look of your finished project. The roller covers are excellent - no shedding, smooth application and an easy cleanup so long as you're using a water based paint. The smaller, detail, rollers as well as the full sized absorb & distribute the paint evenly and smoothly; even on our venetian plaster walls. The extension is handy in a pinch and even though there may be sturdier, stronger poles out there, this one works just fine and is virtually free when you take into account all of the other items included in this kit. You're getting some really nice rollers and so much more for the price of a single roller at any big box store.

Super awesome set for the price. It includes an easy to put together paint extender pole thing to make painting higher spots much easier. The quality of the paint tray is great - I am surprised at how thick and sturdy it is, it's not like those ones you get at that big home improvement store, because those are usually very flimsy plastic. This set is all very high quality - they didn't skimp on any of the pieces. Usually in a multi-piece set like this, the quality of something is sacrificed but not with this. I love that it includes everything you need so it's super functional and perfect for a medium to big paint job around the house!

The price for this kit being around $25.00, I would rate this kit as a good buy for the money. The quality of the rollers covers rate as "good" in a "good, better, best" scenario, in my opinion, as compared to those sold at major hardware stores. There is a nine-inch roller with 2 roller covers, and a smaller roller which has four, four-inch roller covers. In addition, there is a soft 2-inch angled brush with a long handle of good quality and a six-foot sturdy, put-it-together extension pole, a tray, painters tape and a stir stick. I've never seen a stir-stick like this one before. It has a series of ten holes in the stick to facilitate stirring and a notch on the side, where you can hang it on the paint can. It's also plastic, so paint can be rinsed right off of it.

Roller is not smooth enough. Worse, the holder was loose and dropped when painting the wall.
