Fit some of my carboys some of them had a narrower top that it did not fit through. Seems to be pretty good quality. Time will tell. Bought it for mead forgetting that honey and metal and a negative reaction in prolonged exposure.

I've been wanting to buy this for sometime, loofinally broke down and got one. I had previously been using a plastic one that looked like an inverted question mark. This one works way better, it has a nice balance so your hand isn't getting jerked around. It's a simple design that's well made and heavy. I expect to get a lot of use out of it.

It is made of stainless steel except for the screw and nut. They rusted after one cleaning. Had to go and purchase a screw and nut that was stainless steel. It now is fine.

We use this for homemade plum wine and cider. The only drawback, which would be true of any of the metal stirrers, is that it can scratch the plastic fermenting container.
