I wouldn't consider myself a chalk expert, but this seems like a good chalk ball. I have no idea why there is a deer on the packaging, but the chalk works great!

My husband was having trouble hanging onto his drum sticks, used for cardio drumming. The chalk ball has made it possible for him to maintain a good grip on his drumsticks and his exercise mates no longer have to worry about the sticks flying thru the air at them!

Mt 9 year old and 6 year old are just getting into climbing. I didn't want them to have loose chalk as I knew that would get everywhere. This is so much nicer for my sons to get chalk without getting it everywhere.

A disappointment.Original review:These chalk balls are very convenient for climbing.I found it very easy to apply the chalk to my hands by kneading and squishing the ball.I liked that I apply the chalk one-handed.I also feel like with these balls, I use less chalk overall, as using the balls makes it harder to over-apply chalk, compared to using loose chalk.The balls don't appear to be easily refillable, which is the only downside, in my opinion.I would have liked to be able to reuse them, once the balls are depleted of chalk, since I already have a large bag of loose chalk.If these balls were refillable, I would have given them 5 stars. But since they're not easily refillable, I give an overall rating of 4 stars out of 5.

This chalk really improves my grip for pull ups and lifting heavy weights.No complaints!
