I have used many bike racks for racking my mountain bikes but his is one of the best and easy setup bike racks.Very easy to build from scratch took me just under 30 mins to setup and go from scratch.Holds bikes very securely without any trembling.Quick and easy removable latch for opening the car hood space.Holds upto 4 bikes and the holder is sturdy enough to carry good weight from the bikes.Heavyduty and perfect for all sized bikes. The length can be expandable for easy maneuvering of the bikes. If nkt used the rack can be set down for safety.Overall this bike rack is made sturdy and has good and easy way to setup bikes for travel and other needs.Great product and I highly recommend this bike rack.

I purchased this bike rack and I’m very happy with it! It’s sturdy, reliable, and easy to install. It holds four bikes, which is perfect for our family. The structure is stable, and the bikes stay secure. I also love the folding feature that allows easy access to the car trunk. Highly recommend!

Assembly was straightforward. Product is well made. We just took four bikes on a trip with this rack where we drove over 600 miles (mostly highway). Our four bikes weigh 95 lbs total. This is rated for 140.Pros:-Ease of assembly-Materials used-Fit and finish-Security-Pivot function to utilize tailgate is nice and works as designed-Straps are easy to use and it came with an extra replacement strapCons:-Arms seemed to be a little too short. This meant bikes were crowded on each other and the brackets for the last bike were very close to the end of the tubes. If you care about the finish of your bikes you should probably transport them in a different manner or use tape or some other protective material to protect against rubbing.-Quality control - The loop for the pivot pin retaining wire came loose after maybe the second or third use. See photo. This was under completely normal use without being tugged on. This indicates a rush in the manufacturing process. So easy to just crimp this properly. I am confident I can fix it with a pair of pliers in about 10 seconds, but it was a minor annoyance after so little use. Not a catastrophic issue as it doesn't make the product non-functional as a bike rack.-They supply a nut and bolt to attach the bike rack to the hitch receiver. There was not enough clearance for the bolt head or nut to be tightened with my particular hitch. I don't foresee most people semi-permanently installing a bike rack to their hitch, so a hitch pin is more appropriate (and universal fit) and should be supplied. I spent $12 on a locking hitch pin. Harder for someone to remove the rack and toolless installation and removal. With this type of rack loaded with four bikes, I was constantly aware of it when we went over speed bumps and rough roads. It was hard to tell if there was flex in the rack or if it was just moving with the vehicle. I checked the welds when we got home and everything looked fine.Overall this is a good product.

This was easy for my husband to install on my car and we were able to fit our two bikes to go riding this weekend. There was a little bit of rattling but nothing he couldn’t adjust to keep it tight. So far we are happy with it!

AVOID ON THE HIGHWAY!!Those who want a quick Summary: the mounts that hold the bike onto the rack turn into smush when the sun hits them for 2 days, and the straps pop off easily. The bike will unmount and hit your car, or fly off (thankfully I only ended up with a few deep scratches on my car paint and glass, versus the rear window breaking completely. The whole story:I had to do a 3.5 hour drive to make it to a meet up and my goodness this has got to be one of the most stressful drives I’ve ever done. (I’ve driven with a stuttering engine before but driving with this rack was way worse!). It was fine within the city at low speeds but as soon as the sun came out, and I went on the highway at 70mph…oh my goodness…ITS SO BAD!!The bike immediately came off and when I went to go and check, the mounts were just mush! They had gotten so soft in the sun that no matter how many times I try to put the bike back in place, the Mount would just get squashed and deformed under the weight of my bike (my bike weights less than 20lbs).First time bike slid off because mounts just flattened and I ended up with scratches on my cars rear window (photos coming soon)Second time bike slid off because the mounts flattened and the straps were the only thing keeping the bike from flying off….this time I ended up with DEEP scratches in the paint of my car.Third time the bike came off because the straps snapped off. My U-Lock Cable was the only thing ensuring the bike didn’t fly off into traffic.Fourth time the bike came off because the mount was mush again, some heavy braking slid the bike back onto the mount though. All this happened within a 3.5 hour drive. But! The first 1.5 hours the bike was fine, it was the last 2 hours where all of those events above happened.Plus, this was all on butter-smooth florida highways.I was so happy to arrive at my location. The very first thing I did was go to a sporting goods store and buy a Thule bike rack for the drive back (no I can’t afford a Thule so despite being against using credit cards for loans, I’m using my credit line to buy a Thule just for the drive back). I simply cannot risk damaging my car, my bike, or worse, the safety of other drivers on the road.Yes I’m returning this.No I would never recommend this to a friend. Trying to save ~$100 I ended up having the following damage done:Car paint: $50 for touch up paint plus clear coatScratches on the window: $200 for a new rear windowDEEP Scratches on my bike: idk how much this will cost to fix, but definitely ruined the finish on my bike.Other than that major issue, the locking pin jams under the weight of a bike so folding the bike in order to access your trunk will get annoying really fast.

This product was ready and easy to setup. Hang on the truck no problem. Yes it swivels but man it’s hard put bikes on. Unless you have a large bike that offers a LARGE only frame, loading up any other bike is a nightmare. Forget putting a woman’s bike on here. Straps are too small for thicker frame. Tried putting my kids bike on this and what a challenge. There is no way to put 4 bikes on here. Especially large ones.. dissapointed with this product and will have to make my own brackets and adjustments hours before I leave for vacation.
